Customer, Channel and Data (CCD) is a strategic enablement function within Business Banking (BB), supporting all distribution segments and product pathways. CCD plays a central role in elevating customer experience, reimagining the BB distribution model, and accelerating the adoption of data, analytics, and AI.
CCD’s mission is to support the BB strategy in striving for Business NPS of +30.
The BB Agentic Transformation Crew is responsible for designing and implementing go to market propositions using Agentic AI approaches which would plug into branch, digital, call centre and RM managed capabilities. This forms the future of AI driven distribution for the Business Bank and sits with the CCD Domain
Do work that matters
As Senior Manager within the Line 1 Risk team supporting BB Agentic Transformation you will be the first point of contact for operational risk and compliance (OR&C) matters providing advice and guidance on the management and reduction of non-financial risks.
On any given day you will
- Proactively detect and anticipate responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact the business risk profile.
- Advise on opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and compliance. Provide pragmatic risk advice to the BB Agentic Transformation team in control design and evaluation, ensuring a safe, sound and efficient operational environment
- Provide insightful business intelligence to accountable owners, governing forums and committees, to create transparency of risk outcomes.
- Advise and enable senior stakeholders to manage their risk, compliance obligations and business operations within risk appetite.
- Support with the identification, escalation and reporting of operational risk and compliance matters to the BB Agentic Transformation leadership team and other relevant stakeholders
- Support the BB Agentic Transformation deliver work agile under Change Management Risk Standard (CMRS) which allows us to manage risk in the flow of change. Conduct change impact assessments for changes led by BB Agentic Transformation and assess impact of other Group changes on CCD more broadly.
- Conduct and manage Control Assurance Program (CAP) testing, including the development of test plans and reporting on findings
- Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements, maintaining quality documentation throughout
- Advocate for and advise the business on using appropriate tools, practices and frameworks to enable execution of risk reduction and proactive risk management.
- Partner with the business to coach and drive behaviours to enable self-reliant risk management and compliance obligations, in doing so develop a proactive risk and control culture
- Proactively upskill yourself on new and emerging risks, particularly relating to BB’s data, analytics capability and AI strategy, changes to risk and compliance frameworks and Group policies
Your experience looks like
- Experience in Operational Risk and Compliance management, ideally gained within the Financial Services sector. Experience in Tech and model risk highly desirable
- Proven business acumen and ability to apply operational risk and compliance frameworks, standards, policies and procedures in a pragmatic way
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, including technology, data, and business teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a period of transformation.
- Experience supporting business units through change, with a focus on uplifting risk culture and practices.
- Demonstrated experience applying agentic AI in risk, compliance, or fraud contexts.
- A curious and humble mindset, understanding of external trends and changes, interest in continuous learning, to build risk management best practice
- The ability to think critically and use data driven insights to solve problems, coupled with good reporting and analytical skills
