Roblox is seeking a strategic thinker to join our Federal Policy team as a Sr. Public Policy Manager. In this role you will develop and implement an engagement strategy with Republican lawmakers.  

Role is based in our Washington, DC office and will report to our Senior Director of Public Policy, US and Canada

You Will

  • Maintain and build relationships with Republican policymakers and political figures
  • Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues affecting Roblox in the Federal government
  • Develop and execute strategies for engaging with policy makers around issues important to Roblox 
  • Assist the wider public policy team on ongoing projects and initiatives 
  • Advise Roblox internal team members on public policy matters as inputs to the development of our products and business operations
  • Articulate our public policy positions in briefing papers and consultation responses
  • Connect with external team members on behalf of Roblox on public policy topics
  • Play a key role in establishing relationships and promoting an environment that best positions Roblox for the future in the Legislative Branch.
  • Work internally and externally with a proficiency in Roblox’s policies and philosophies to advocate on behalf of the Roblox community, and on behalf of its teams and business.
  • Be highly supported in your efforts to maintain both a work and personal life, to build your career, and encouraged to take on responsibilities and risks that help you grow in a way you feel good about

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Policy, Law, Media, Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field of study or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience working with Republican policymakers at the federal level
  • Proven knowledge of the legislative process
  • Deep knowledge working with U.S. policymakers, child safety groups, and other key third party organizations
  • Consistent experience working with cross-functional teams consisting of business operations, financial and legal team members
  • Experience with project/program management and able to keep multiple concurrent deliverables moving forward on schedule
  • Confirmed interpersonal skills verbally and written

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$215,840$257,070 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

We are requiring employees to be in the office three days a week – with core days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, employees may choose to work remotely, although the office will still be open.
