Position: Senior Manager, Product Management
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Lead, develop, and champion of the product vision, strategy, and prioritization roadmap for the Item Page across various platforms like iOS, Android, and the Web to support Walmart’s eCommerce and Site Discovery objectives. Define the product scope and drive the execution of multiple products and strategic initiatives. Make informed trade-offs with engineering teams to optimize product development and launch. Create detailed product specification and requirement documents, annual operating plans, and quarterly planning documents for Item Page. Socialize and deliver the Product Requirements to engineering teams to drive product development. Influence product decisions, build consensus, and resolve conflicts constructively and proactively at all levels of the Walmart eCommerce and support other business units. Drive the product discovery and execution for large complex, and/or ambiguous initiatives relating to Item Page and streamline the scope by adjusting as necessary. Across Item Page, work with Business, UX, Analytics, and Engineering partners to drive alignment on the overall goals and provide a clear line of communication around what is required to achieve a successful outcome for the customer in the site discovery phase. Communicate Item Page product status and performance insights to cross functional stakeholders and executive leadership using emails, presentations, and documents. Manage stakeholders and foster relationships withing Site Merchandizing, Central Operations, Product Analytics, Legal, SEO/SEM, Ads, Finance, UX Design, and Engineering. Secure Engineering resources and alignment of goals across multiple cross functional stakeholders for new features on Item Page. Support the deployment and launch of product implementations, focusing on optimizing customer journeys on the Item Page. Design and create A/B testing plans and experiments for Item Page products for introduction of new features. Oversee the setup and analysis of these tests on Expo. Review A/B Test plans for team members and provide approval for launches. Manage the Business, Operational, and Performance Metrics Dashboards, analyze Voice of Customer data, and drive the success criteria of Item Page Products. Analyze primary and secondary Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Item Page using Tableau dashboards and customer behavior patterns across internal and external traffic and various business units to inform Item Page and Site Discovery’s roadmap adjustments. Own communication of KPIs to partners and alert them about customer behavior pattern shifts on an on-going basis. Influence product launch decisions, build consensus across the Walmart eCommerce organization to launch the products, and gain alignment from key stakeholders for Item Page and Site Discovery. Supervise one (1) employee (1 Staff Product Manager).
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related area and 7 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related area and 9 years of experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience owning and driving product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and scope definition. Experience with product and feature delivery and managing tradeoffs of a product. Experience managing and aligning with multiple cross functional stakeholders and communicating product vision and roadmap. Experience developing in A/B Test Plans, implementing the A/B Tests, and analyzing the A/B Test results to inform Launch Decisions. Experience creating product requirements documents, identifying key stakeholders, tracking product development progress, and iterating on key product goals, on business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and on success criteria. Experience with product management and business consulting. Experience conducting market, competitive, and user research to understand market dynamics and opportunities. Experience leading an Agile POD in executing a product roadmap within a stipulated timeline and building scalable and end-to-end customer experiences. Experience developing platforms and using JavaScript to understand and parse API payload responses in JSON. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $157,636/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
