WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Engineering to join our Taiwan PMO Prodcut Engineer team and lead both product excellence and team capability development across the footwear product creation process and organization.

In this role, you will act as a key connector across Product Creation, Innovations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Factory partners, while also serving as a people leader who scales engineering capability across the team and partner network.

You will also bring deep engineer experience and knowledge to guide complex product decisions, while driving team performance, collaboration, and long-term capability building.  

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

People & Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Engineers, building a strong pipeline of technical and leadership talent, establish culture of belonging, inclusive of diversity, strengthen the ownership, set up collaboration mindset, and continuous improvement. Mentor engineers and elevate team capability in areas such as pattern engineering, tooling, manufacturing, and product creation, drive knowledge sharing, standard work, and best practice adoption across PMO and PCC partners, foster an inclusive environment that encourages diverse perspectives and strong team engagement.

Product Engineering Excellence & Technical Leadership : Drive product engineering execution from concept through commercialization and manufacturing readiness, leverage deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges and guide critical decisions, review and validate product designs, samples, and technical data, establish and implement engineering best practices to ensure product quality, performance, and manufacturability, apply structured and creative problem-solving to deliver optimal solutions for performance, cost, and scalability.

Cross-functional Leadership & Execution : Drive alignment across Product Creation, Materials, Innovation, Manufacturing, and Factory partners to ensure execution excellence, act as a bridge between Nike teams and factory partners, ensuring clear communication and decision-making across the product lifecycle, ensure products are manufacturing-ready at key milestones, balancing performance, quality, cost, and timeline requirements, lead issue resolution through root cause analysis and drive effective countermeasures.

Strategic & Capability Leadership: Translate category and engineering strategies into actionable plans for team execution, influence adoption of innovation, new processes, and manufacturing technologies, build scalable systems, processes, and standards that improve long-term team effectiveness, strengthen alignment across global and regional stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization

  • Cross-functional teams (Innovation, Materials, Costing, Product Testing, Chemical, Tooling, Supply Chain)
    You will operate in a highly matrixed, global environment, requiring strong influencing, alignment, and partnership capabilities with strong people and team-oriented mindset, want to lead and growth together with the team.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in footwear engineering, development, or manufacturing

  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams

  • Deep technical expertise in footwear engineering, tooling, materials, or manufacturing processes

  • Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability in complex product and manufacturing scenarios

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to translate technical insights into clear direction

  • Ability to work across cultures and navigate global partnerships

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
