We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Pricing & Profitability to lead the development, governance, and advancement of pricing and profitability frameworks across the US Banking team. With a focus on Commercial Banking, this highly visible role will partner closely with senior leaders, client-facing teams, Technology, and Data organizations to drive data‑driven decision-making and optimize loan pricing and returns.

You will own and support the methodologies, tools, and analytics that guide loan pricing, return on equity (ROE), and capital allocation—playing a critical role in shaping pricing strategy, portfolio performance, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 2-3 analysts
  • Conduct proactive analysis to identify loan pricing opportunities and risks; present recommendations to senior management and executives.
  • Own client profitability methodologies, including ROE frameworks, Basel parameters, RWA, FTP parameters and expense allocation methodology.
  • Define business requirements for the Data Foundations team to build and maintain data sources that support ROE, loan pricing insights, and portfolio trends.
  • Serve as the business owner for the Pricing & Profitability application; Collaborate with client-facing teams and executives to prioritize enhancements and new capabilities; Translate business needs into formal requirements for Technology and ensure product delivery meets expectations.
  • Work with external data providers and vendors to benchmark the bank’s pricing and profitability performance; Bring market intelligence into internal discussions to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of business experience or 3 - 5 years of experience after the completion of graduate business school.
  • At least 2 years of direct team management experience
  • Deep expertise in commercial loan pricing, client profitability, and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of bank capital methodologies (e.g., Basel, RWA, ROE frameworks).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to proactively identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence across functions.

Salary:

$102,000.00 - $190,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
