We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for managing intra-organizational relationships with the Implementation and Operations teams. This candidate will manage project managers, stakeholder communication, projects, and design new processes using structured methodologies. This individual will inspire confidence in the team, senior management, and the business community implementing the project solution. This person will focus on stewardship of ongoing projects, leading efforts to improve existing processes, and leading efforts to design new systems or processes, as required. They will advocate for operational excellence across the organization and produce potential future leaders at Rackspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs staff, as well as, coordinates across functions, internally and externally, to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Acts as a servant leader - Inspires others towards creativity, development, and autonomy
- Manages intra-organizational relations – specifically the PMO's relationship with the Implementation and the Operations teams.
- Highly driven self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Plans and executes moderately complex or multiple projects.
- Reviews and fully understands all project requirements (business and technical).
- Develops and documents business processes.
- Owns customer outcomes and drives customer issue resolution.
- Manages stakeholder communication and relationships.
- Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures.
- Drives efficiency in solution delivery processes and procedures.
Knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of the project lifecycle.
- Intermediate knowledge of industry competitors, products, trends, and technology.
- Intermediate knowledge of company's objectives and strategies.
- Knowledge of the Texas Public Sector.
- Understanding of Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Awareness of government contract lifecycle and state agencies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in field related to role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute degree requirement
- Project certification a plus (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
- AWS/Azure/GCP a plus
- 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience required
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in direct people management required
Additional Information
- 10-20% travel including occasional travel to meet customers and/or attend conferences
- Hybrid schedule 2 days a week in office in San Antonio, TX
- Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check at hire
- Must be a US citizen
- May require further DOD security clearance
