Job Description:
Parsons are looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Manager - Planning (Power Infrastructure) to join their team!
Reporting to the Director of Power Utilities, the Senior Manager - Planning, will assess proposed power infrastructure assets and network deployment strategies to ensure alignment with development needs, including capacity, location, and scheduling requirements.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Provide guidance on construction sequencing and collaborate with development teams to optimize the implementation of power-related assets and networks such as substations, transmission lines, distribution networks, transformers, and cabling routing.
- Contribute to procurement planning by evaluating and testing different packaging and delivery options to best fulfill project and development objectives.
- Support budget planning and cost estimation by offering technical and strategic input during early project stages.
- Provide insights into project timelines and help identify programmatic gaps or schedule risks proactively.
- Recognize potential risks related to project delivery and execution, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare and present Stage Gate documentation for power (dry utility) projects, including:
- Budget and funding requirements
- Development timelines and phasing
- Design and engineering management strategy
- Risk and opportunity assessment
- Consultant and contractor procurement strategies
What Required Skills You'll Bring;
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or from an accredited college or university ( Electrical Engineering preferred )
- 15+ Years' experience
- Proven experience in design, delivery, and integration of power infrastructure systems including substations, overhead/underground transmission lines, distribution networks, and grid connections.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and other international standard forms of agreement, particularly in EPC or D&B contexts.
- Expertise in planning and sequencing utility infrastructure, especially within mixed-use or large-scale urban developments.
