Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Operations, Maintenance & Logistics to support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. The GMD system provides 24/7 operational defense of the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks. This position will be located at either Fort Greely, AK, Vandenberg, SFB, CA or Huntsville, AL.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages a multi-disciplinary organization of managers and employees performing Operations (GMD Maintenance Manager and Human-Machine Interface operations, multiple site operations centers), Maintenance (technical, retrofit, repair, and modification activities), and Logistics (supply chain, materiel management, spares provisioning, transportation, and inventory control).
- Supports execution of cost, schedule, and technical objectives for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program by overseeing integrated Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics functions at multiple GMD sites. Oversees the integration of Product Support disciplines into program execution, oversees day-to-day site operations and sustainment activities, and leads a multi-disciplinary workforce of managers and technical staff.
- Requires the individual to perform work tasks in and around an operational missile defense complex that includes operational interceptor launch facilities where system assets are subject to Warfighter deployment. An operational missile field with operational interceptor launch facilities has significant inherent health and safety risks, and individuals are required to train, understand, and observe extensive safety and process controls to help protect personnel and equipment.
- Interfaces with site Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and government leadership, and other GMD stakeholder organizations, representing Boeing's integrated Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics posture for sites.
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures, and guides the development of business goals and objectives across all three functional disciplines.
- Establishes and monitors logistics readiness metrics, including spares availability, supply chain performance, and materiel accountability, in coordination with program logistics and supply chain teams.
- Acquires resources for organizational activities and leads process improvements across Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics.
- Works with GMD Program Management to prioritize site assets, including Quality and EHS teams, across multiple site activities.
- Coordinates cross-site standardization, sharing of best practices and lessons learned, and participation in business development and process-improvement initiatives.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, community, stakeholders, peers, and partners at local, state, and federal government levels.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes across Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics functions.
- Manages, develops, mentors, and motivates employees and subordinate managers; owns hiring, performance management, and workforce planning decisions for the organization.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing programs, organizational operations, enterprise services, and/or functional leadership
- 5+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning Operations
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing policies and procedures
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics
- Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 9 or more years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience working on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program or a comparable missile defense / weapon system sustainment program.
- Experience working/living in remote military locations.

Summary Pay Range: $170,000 - $246,100
