Why This Role

As a Senior Manager, you will lead high‑impact transformation programmes across Japan, guiding clients through complex operational risk and performance challenges. You will shape engagements, manage delivery teams, and strengthen senior client relationships while contributing to the growth of our Operational Risk Management practice and market presence.

Industry / Practice Focus

You will work closely with our Operational Risk Management practice, bringing global best practices into the Japan market. The role offers exposure to senior executives across oil & gas, chemicals, mining & metals, consumer products, power & utilities, and private equity.

Your Impact

You will lead consulting teams, deliver high‑quality work across multiple workstreams, and act as a trusted advisor to senior clients. You will support account growth, contribute to thought leadership, and help enhance methodologies and best practices across the region.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead delivery of operational risk and performance engagements;

• Build and deepen senior client relationships;

• Bring global ORM methodologies and insights to Japan;

• Support proposals, account development, and market positioning;

• Contribute to industry networks and capability development;

• Strengthen regional and global collaboration;

• Maintain delivery quality, client satisfaction, and chargeability.

Who You Are

• You bring strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.

Experience & Capabilities

• Significant consulting experience in operational risk, operational excellence, safety, or sustainability;

• Proven ability to lead complex engagements and multi‑disciplinary teams;

• Strong understanding of asset‑intensive industries;

• Experience managing senior client relationships;

• Familiarity with operational excellence and process safety methodologies;

• 10+ years of client‑facing experience; top‑tier consulting background preferred;

• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills;

• High proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio; Power BI/Tableau beneficial;

• A strong professional network in Japan is an advantage.

Education & Languages

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related fields;

• Fluency in Japanese; strong English proficiency.
