The role is responsible to configure, monitor and maintain network security controls. He/she is responsible to protect an organization’s network and data from cyber threats, involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to safeguard network infrastructure. He/she will assess potential vulnerabilities, responds to security incidents, and ensures compliance with security policies and regulations. He/she plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems, ultimately enabling the organization to operate securely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Developing the architecture, design, and standards of Network Security controls (Firewalls, Web application firewalls, Cloud Security Access Broker, etc…)
- Provisioning/de-provisioning of network access to applications, infrastructure, and operating systems as per established Policy, Standards and procedures.
- Leading and participating in activities related to implementation of network security controls.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem analysis by working with other teams, vendors or users in diagnosing and resolving network security issues.
- Member of the Security Incident Response Team, actively participating in the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
- Responsible for daily operations and management of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure robust network security.
- Develop and enforce network and cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of network performance and security events, driving proactive incident detection and response.
- Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and security requirements.
- Lead the evaluation, configuration, and optimization of network and security tools and platforms.
- Oversee capacity planning, scalability, and high availability of network services.
- Perform any other duties assigned to by line manager related to the nature of the work
- Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Industry-recognized certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, any CASB
Years & Nature of Experience
- Recommended to have 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience have been demonstrated in Networking and Network Security where 2 Years of experience with Cloud networking.
- A specialist individual contributor or a team lead who has managed and delivered projects
- Demonstrated expertise and experience with complex technical activities
- Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, follow written policies standards, and procedures, and provide consistent and superior customer service.
- Demonstrable knowledge in investigating security issues within Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure
- Strong expertise in network technologies (routing, switching, SD-WAN, cloud networking) and security solutions.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
