The Position
Serve as lead for CRM (customer relationship management) system supporting NNI Medical Affairs.
Assumes functional ownership and partners with line of business and IT colleagues to oversee all aspects of the system lifecycle and ensure the department fully leverages capabilities that enable exceptional stakeholder engagement. This includes maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, test scripts. User acceptance testing (UAT), implementation of new versions, end user training and creating reports as required.
Drive and oversee deployment of innovative solutions that support field effectiveness, efficiency, and enablement via CRM.
This individual must collaborate with cross functional departments s to understand, address and present solutions to meet business priorities through CRM. They will partner with IT and NNI Veeva CRM teams to shape solutions aligned to medical affairs priorities.
Develop and maintain operational procedures and standards in collaboration with key NNI functions and aligned with, SOPs and guidelines.
Relationships
This position reports to the Director, Medical Omnichannel Technology Solutions and is part of the Medical Modernization and Strategic Partner Engagements Team.
Additional key internal NNI relationships include other Medical Affairs therapy areas, other CMR functions, Commercial systems leads, Data Enterprise & Advanced Analytics teams and IT partners.
External relationships include working with vendors and agencies.
Essential Functions
- Develop and drive a Medical CRM system roadmap outlining upgrades, enhacements, and expansions to meet changing business needs
- Lead the exploration of new capabilities/technology anticipating the future needs of the medical affairs organization
- Effectively communicate system vision, timelines and progress to senior management, collaborative partners and end users
- Responsible for CRM vendor management including input into budget planning forecasting and oversight
- Drive current MA CRM projects, processes and technology to ensure operational effectiveness. Proactively identify process improvement initiatives when needed
- Demonstrate project management skills and leadership for new and existing system enhancements and develop and maintain operational procedures and standards in collaboration with key stakeholders and aligned with NNI policies, SOPs and guidelines
- Monitor and assess CRM system performance, quality, and end user satisfaction using various metrics and feedback channels
- Ensure Medical Affairs has optimal tools & resources to enable & evolve customer engagement
- Collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal stakeholders to continually refine medical CRM
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor 's degree required
- PMP certification Preferred
- A minimum of 7+ years of progressively responsible project or system management experience within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry required
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and technique and process improvement
- Experience in medical affairs preferred
- Experience with Veeva CRM preferred; familiarity with Veeva suite (MedComms, Link Key People, Link Medical Insights) is a plus
- Demonstrated excellent communication (written, verbal and presentations) and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional team interaction
- Excellent collaborator with ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong strategic mindset, understanding of market needs and demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory environment of pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills. Capability to turn data into insights and provide recommended actions based on a solid knowledge of the business
- Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
- Self-confident with a growth-mindset and continually focused on product improvement, innovation and results. Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
