How will your role help us transform hope into reality?
The Senior Manager, Int’l Market Research & Competitive Insights leads market research and competitive intelligence activities across Blueprint Medicines’ International Direct Markets (EU4+UK and select Western European countries). This role focuses primarily on AYVAKYT in systemic mastocytosis and may expand to support future allergy and inflammation pipeline assets.
As a strategic partner to International Commercial, Medical, Access, and Country Commercial teams, this role delivers actionable insights that shape commercial strategy and guide decision‑making
What will you do?
Market research: Market & Customer Insights (70%)
- Own the International market research plan; identify insight gaps and prioritize studies to address key business needs.
- Design, lead, and execute qualitative and quantitative research across the product lifecycle, with emphasis on AYVAKYT and future pipeline assets.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations; deliver compelling narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Synthesize primary research, secondary data, and internal knowledge to provide an integrated view of market opportunities, customer needs, and risks.
- Partner closely with International Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and country commercial teams to guide strategy and brand planning.
- Manage external vendors, ensuring high‑quality methodology, timely delivery, and strong value for investment; oversee MR budgets.
- Ensure all market research activities comply with internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and industry guidelines.
Competitive Intelligence (30%)
- Lead the International competitive intelligence (CI) framework and processes, ensuring systematic collection and dissemination of competitive insights from countries and field teams.
- Own key competitive topics, business questions, and monitoring priorities across the portfolio, aligned with Commercial, Medical, and Access stakeholders.
- Manage CI vendors; oversee timely, high‑quality delivery of landscape assessments, opportunity evaluations, TPP comparisons, and ad hoc analyses.
- Provide continuous competitive updates, including signals from congresses, regulatory milestones, and clinical data releases. Support situational analyses and strategic planning cycles with an objective market viewpoint.
- Ensure CI activities follow all compliance and regulatory requirements.
What minimum qualifications do we require?
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (Marketing, Market Research, Analytics, Life Sciences, or related field).
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience, or relevant agency experience, in market research or competitive intelligence, ideally across international markets.
- Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and triangulation of multiple data sources.
- Experience with product launches in rare diseases and/or immunology/allergy preferred.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and complex insight programs.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical development, commercialization, and competitive dynamics.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed, multicultural setting and build trusted partnerships across functions and geographies.
