Job Responsibilities:
About the Role:
The Senior Manager - Core Purchasing leads and develops the Core Purchasing organization for platform and pre-development activities. This role owns strategy, governance, resource planning, and performance management, ensuring the delivery of competitive, executable, and business-winning sourcing solutions.
You will drive global quotation success through disciplined RFQ execution, robust pricing strategies, accurate platform price libraries, and strong cross-functional collaboration. This is a critical leadership role aligning purchasing strategy with business goals across cost, quality, delivery, risk, and long-term supply chain competitiveness.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Core Purchasing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
  • Own and execute end-to-end Core Purchasing strategies for platform and pre-development programs, ensuring competitive and reliable sourcing outcomes
  • Drive RFQ and quotation activities, ensuring strong commercial assumptions, cross-functional alignment, and executive readiness
  • Oversee sourcing decisions, cost models, and platform price libraries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and competitiveness
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Category teams to align strategies and enable informed decision-making
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, leveraging market insights to optimize cost, quality, and risk
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, leading continuous improvement initiatives across processes, tools, and performance standards

Who we are looking for:
  • Proven leadership experience in global purchasing environments with the ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills at an executive level
  • Strategic mindset with solid commercial judgment and effective decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment, with willingness to travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in Automotive Purchasing or Supply Chain, including RFQs, sourcing, and BOM cost management
  • Strong expertise in platform sourcing, pre-development cost modeling, and global supply chain dynamics
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel
  • High integrity, structured working style, and a proactive, results-driven approach
