We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.

We are seeking a strategic and analytically strong Senior Manager, International Market Access to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Ascendis endocrinology portfolio is successfully launched and accessible across our international markets.

This position will be part of the International Markets region, a key strategic endeavour for Ascendis as we continue to expand our global footprint in partnership with indirect affiliates and distribution partners across the globe, including Canada, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Israel, the Middle East, South Africa, Australia, South-East Asia, South Asia, and South Korea.

In this role, you will support the development and execution of international pricing and market access strategies by providing robust analysis, value-based evidence, and operational support. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support pricing and reimbursement decisions that are grounded in data, aligned with global frameworks, and enable sustainable portfolio growth across diverse market environments.

You will bring hands-on expertise in market access and pricing, supporting partners in the preparation of pricing and reimbursement dossiers and evidence packages, while contributing to pricing analyses and models aligned with commercial objectives. As an important member of the International Markets team, you will be a collaborative and modern thinker who can rapidly build trusted relationships with leadership, colleagues, global functions, and external distribution partners.

You will report to the Head of International Market Access and work closely with the Head of International Medical Affairs, Head of International Marketing, Head of Business Operations, as well as Global colleagues across Market Access, Pricing, and HEOR.

The role should be based in a market where we have an Ascendis European office, including the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, or Denmark. This is expected to be a remote role that may require some travel to our Copenhagen Head Office, international partner markets, industry conferences, and stakeholder meetings (approximately 10–15%). Flexibility in working hours may occasionally be necessary to accommodate global time zones.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Support Pricing Strategy and Analysis

  • Conduct competitor pricing analyses and benchmark against emergent policies
  • Support Global team in the IRP and supply analysis implications. Submit for price changes
  • Consolidate and validate pricing data to ensure compliance with global pricing policies
  • Maintain a market understanding of the market access environment

Contribute to Market Access Planning

  • Support partners in the preparation of P&R dossiers and evidence packages for reimbursement submissions/responses
  • Gather local data and inputs from partners to strengthen payer value arguments
  • Assist in monitoring access barriers and providing solutions to improve listing outcomes

Enable New Product Launches and Lifecycle Decisions

  • Provide analytical and evidence-based input into launch access strategies
  • Work closely with the International Market Access Head to align priorities

Ensure Alignment with Global and Local Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Global Pricing, Market Access, and HEOR teams to ensure local strategies align with global corridors and evidence plans
  • Coordinate with local partners and distributors to collect, validate, and integrate pricing and access data into decision-making
  • Support external vendor management for access-related studies and projects

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in pricing and market access, able to translate data into clear analyses, prepare dossiers, and support reimbursement processes across markets.

  • Master’s degree in life sciences, economics, public health, or a related field. An MBA or PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Market Access, Pricing, and/or HEOR, preferably within pharma or biotech
  • Solid knowledge of market access policies and mechanisms
  • Experience preparing P&R dossiers and supporting new product launches
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or pricing tools
  • Familiarity with payer decision-making processes and HTA requirements
  • Experience in international, regional, and/or national market access is essential; experience across EU5, Canada, LATAM, and/or Asia Pacific is highly valued
  • Proven track record of reimbursement submissions and pricing strategy
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
