The Senior Manager of Commercial Supply Planning plays a critical role in managing BeOne EU supply chain operations in European network. This position is responsible for developing and executing end-to-end material planning to ensure consistent commercial supply, mitigate risks, and align with business objectives and operational excellence. The role requires a strategic mindset, expertise in supply planning tools, and experience managing external manufacturing networks.
The candidate will support regional monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, integrating cross-functional inputs to drive data-driven decision-making. As a subject matter expert in SAP ERP and advanced planning systems, this individual will drive process improvements, enhance supply planning capabilities, and ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements.
Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex global operations within a GxP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
EU Network CMO Planning & Execution
Develop and manage supply plans across EU CMOs to meet demand forecasts and inventory targets.
Lead weekly production meetings with CMOs and adjust plans based on performance and capacity constraints.
Execute PO generation and tracking, ensuring alignment with forecast and inventory goals.
Support CMO engagement and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Inventory Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels across EU markets, minimizing excess and obsolescence.
Conduct monthly reconciliation with CMOs.
S&OP Process Support
Partner with product leads to support EU regional and global monthly S&OP cycles.
Provide supply planning inputs, scenario analysis, and risk assessments and mitigation proposals.
Launch Readiness & Forecasting
Participate in launch readiness planning for new products and indications.
Collaborate with regulatory, packaging, and engineering teams to implement artwork changes.
Develop CMO forecasts and ensure supply readiness for launch timelines.
SAP & Ariba Transactional Ownership
Serve as SME/super user for SAP S4/Hana ERP and Ariba systems.
Create and maintain subcontract orders and non-manufacturing orders.
Support SAP enhancement projects and role-based access transitions.
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
Identify potential supply disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor schedule adherence and implement corrective actions.
Support internal audits and supply chain risk assessments.
Strategic Supply Chain Initiatives
Contribute to global supply chain network design and capacity planning.
Support sourcing strategy, RFP processes, and cost negotiations with CMOs.
Drive continuous improvement in supply planning processes and systems.
Collaboration with Finance Planning
Partner closely with Finance Planning to align supply plans with budget forecasts and financial targets.
Provide input on cost drivers, inventory valuation, and working capital optimization.
Support financial reporting and variance analysis related to supply chain activities
Core Competencies and Qualifications:
Commercial Supply Planning Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute demand/supply planning strategies, optimize inventory levels, and lead the S&OP process to drive business alignment.
Pharmaceutical Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., cGMP, GDP) and ability to ensure compliance in supply chain operations.
Deviation & CAPA Management: Experience in investigating deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensuring continuous compliance in a regulated environment.
SAP & Advanced Planning Systems: Deep expertise in SAP ERP, IBP, and advanced planning tool system design, implementation, and optimization to enhance operational efficiency.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to engage and align stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive supply chain excellence.
Adaptability & Change Management: Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives, improving processes, and navigating dynamic business environments.
Effective Communication & Influence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey supply chain strategies, present recommendations, and influence senior leadership.
Project & Risk Management: Expertise in project execution, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity and minimize disruptions.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to driving operational excellence through innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Skills: Master-level expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced skills in data modeling, automation, and visualization; proficiency in other Microsoft Office application, strong knowledge of ERP Systems and Advanced Planning Tool, Experience with Power BI, ThinkCell, and data visualization tools.
Other Qualifications: Due to the global nature of the role, early morning or evening meetings may be required.
Travel: Up to 15% as required for business needs
