About This Role
The Senior Manager, Global Pricing and Access – Immunology Pipeline will contribute payer, pricing and access perspective to early pipeline, portfolio expansion and lifecycle and external opportunities across a variety of diseases/therapeutic areas. This successful candidate will report to the Head of Global Pricing and Access within the Value and Access team and will be responsible for developing price and access estimates and inform development of target product profiles and clinical development programs for all potential assets to be in-licensed or acquired by Biogen. The role involves partnering with Value Evidence Strategy (Health Economics), Corporate Strategy, New Product Planning, Forecasting, Clinical Development / Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance and occasionally, regional V&A stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Support Global Pricing and Access team members with value, pricing and access assessments of new immunology disease areas
- Conduct secondary research determining price levels of existing therapies and payer management, HTA review outcomes for relevant products, and burden of disease to inform price and market access estimates, inform target product profile and clinical trials development program
- Lead third party payer and analog research, integrating product’s value proposition and supporting clinical information, to determine achievable price, including gross to net, and market access for specific (or, across) indication(s), and optimal evidence package and indication sequencing
- Develop pricing, market access, and gross-to-net assumptions for the forecast and financial model quantifying the business opportunity as part of the business development commercial evaluation.
- Align with the commercial partners on the overall commercial assumptions supporting the business case forecast.
- Represent the Global Value & Access team at the cross-functional meetings, and, when needed, at the various organizational governing bodies, to support the price and market access estimates input into the broader commercial evaluation.
- Support executive commercial management, when required, by briefing them on the price and access recommendation and supporting rationale in preparation for the review of business case by the broader Executive team
Who You Are
- You are passionate about learning about different diseases and therapeutic areas and enjoy assessing how an asset’s value proposition will be valued and reimbursed at different key strategic markets.
- You are comfortable developing price and access estimates working with limited information and through a rigorous iterative process to understand disease, value proposition, and price opportunity for asset.
- You are comfortable working with a small team, dynamic environment and excited about working on a matrix.
Required Skills
Master’s degree in a related Business discipline including Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Public Health, plus five (5) years of relevant Pricing and Reimbursement industry experience. Experience must include 3 years for the majority of the following:
- Demonstrated understanding of payer environment, both US and globally, including coverage and reimbursement, value drivers, formulary management, health technologies assessment, and health policy
- Experience in developing Global payer policy and strategies.
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical product development or commercialization
- Demonstrated ability to develop deep therapeutic expertise
- Experience supporting Business and Development assessments
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work under pressure within short timeframes

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
