You will be responsible for:
- Leading the production of monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, overseeing, reviewing, and assisting in the timely preparation of financial reports related to accounting functions.
- Reviewing monthly account variance analyses prepared by teams, and ensuring readiness to address questions from Global Controllers, the Chief Accounting Officer, and Heads of Financial Planning & Analysis during month-end meetings.
- Collaborating closely with leaders of the client billing team to ensure smooth transitions between front-end and back-end client service matters.
- Leading the development of processes for growing business and product lines, including standardization and automation.
- Driving a continuous improvement mindset, automating and enhancing efficiencies in work processes.
- Working closely with the Senior Manager of AUM on special projects and process improvements.
- Providing guidance and support to team members, prioritizing work as needed.
- Liaising with the Accounting Policy team during the implementation of new technical accounting changes.
- Designing effective SOX controls and ensure adherence to these defined controls.
- Plan, direct, and implement accounting and financial reporting projects, including system conversions, new software implementations, and SOX compliance.
- Coordinating resources across Invesco departments to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Serving as the key coordinator for revenue-related work service placement, transition, and integration during acquisitions.
- Partnering with the Record to Report (R2R) End to End Global Lead and Performance Management team to identify and execute continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Supporting the expansion of responsibilities within the Hyderabad, India-based Global Business Services team, including documentation, training, and stabilization of transitioned processes.
- Providing support and feedback on staff performance to the Head of Finance Global Business Services, Hyderabad, ensuring the delivery of service level agreements, including accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors for walkthroughs and testing of SOX controls, and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the year-end audit for revenue.
- Managing the performance and development cycle for GBS team members, including setting goals, completing performance evaluations, conducting development reviews, and managing work schedules.
- Overseeing the recruitment, orientation, training, motivation, evaluation, discipline, and, when necessary, discharge of subordinate personnel.
The experience you bring:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Preferably experienced in a public reporting company.
- Highly preferred experience working with offshore teams.
- Strong preference for experience with Oracle Cloud Financials and Revport.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with individuals across various functions and regions.
- Organizational and Leadership Skills: Process-oriented with the capability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Leadership Abilities: Proficient in collaboration, influence, strategic thinking, and concise communication.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using computer equipment and software, particularly spreadsheet applications.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to cooperate in a team environment.
- Adaptability: High degree of adaptability to change.
- Deadline Management: Ability to execute tasks against strict deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
- Confidentiality: Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
- FINRA Series 99 – you will be required to pass the exam within 6 months of employment
