General Description:

The Senior Manager, Field Insights Solutions will collaborate closely with global business teams across BeiGene to develop and maintain a cutting-edge, scalable business insights platform. This role reports to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Global Technical Services (GTS), Business Planning, and GTS organizations. Serving as a strategic partner, the Senior Manager will spearhead various initiatives focused on onboarding, field insights communication, and technical implementations to empower field-facing teams in achieving their objectives effectively.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Engage with the Business Operations team and global field teams (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs) across regions to understand their business requirements and translate them into actionable insights solutions tailored for field teams' utilization.
  • Partner with the data infrastructure team and implementation vendors, aligning on project objectives, scope, milestones, and success factors for field insights initiatives.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners, developers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle of field insights solutions.
  • Conduct thorough impact analyses before onboarding new data assets or implementing changes to the field insights platform, identifying dependencies and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement data management best practices for master and transaction datasets to maintain high data integrity, trust, and quality for field insights.
  • Create a robust Data Quality framework for field insights to ensure accuracy of data and insights.
  • Establish an Operations Support framework for the field insights platform, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), for ease of maintenance and sustainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, evaluate enhancement efforts and development approaches, and implement best practices to continuously improve code quality, performance, and scalability for field insights applications.
  • Work with SQL databases (Redshift and/or PostgreSQL) to retrieve, manipulate, and store data for field insights.
  • Possess a strong understanding of technical implementation concepts such as ETL, Data Warehousing, SQL, Web-based application platforms, and visualization charts to guide developers on the right implementation approach for field insights.
  • Perform data analysis, generate new code based on field insights needs, debug code, and guide vendors/teams on query optimization for field insights solutions.
  • Stay current with data management capabilities and drive technology improvements to build sustainable processes for ingesting, storing, and provisioning field insights data.
  • Assist in onboarding and training to drive adoption of the field insights BI platform among field teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, Life Sciences consulting, Commercial operations or related fields, building Enterprise Field Reporting platforms.
  • Proven experience in information technology design, implementation, and/or analytics platform support in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive experience in data management processes and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Channel data providers, Specialty Pharmacy data, Specialty Distributor data, Patient Hub data, Data warehouses, and Field Reporting solutions is essential.
  • Knowledge of Sales and Medical Affairs field operations is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrix environment and build solid relationships across the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid business acumen and the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data for high-performance and trustworthy business analysis.
  • Strong project management and delivery experience, including project planning, budget oversight, and staffing of project teams.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience and communicate solution value effectively.
  • Capability to identify operational weaknesses and implement corrective action plans.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop others

Salary Range: $136,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually

BeiGene is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
