Raytheon Digital Technology is seeking an experienced technical software management leader to oversee our Electrical Engineering (EE) Software & Tooling Discipline. In this role, you will be the primary bridge between digital technology, software asset management, and our electrical engineering programs. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle, licensing optimization, and hardware infrastructure support for industry-standard electrical engineering tools, while leading a high-performing technical team. This will be a remote role, with travel required )up to 20%) to Raytheon Hub locations in the Domestic US, including McKinney TX and Tucson, AZ, and other Raytheon locations.
What You Will Do
- End-to-End Tool Portfolio Management: Own the complete lifecycle of electrical engineering software suites (such as PCB design, simulation, and schematic capture tools) from intake and deployment to optimization and retirement.
- License Utilization & Cost Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize floating license pools and maintenance agreements; drive cost-efficiency and license reclamation strategies aligned with enterprise financial goals.
- Engineering Program Support & Collaboration: Partner closely with electrical engineering program leads and cross-functional stakeholders to understand workflow requirements, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure seamless tool delivery.
- Hardware & Infrastructure Coordination: Oversee the hardware infrastructure requirements, workstation setups, and specialized server support necessary to run high-performance EE design and simulation environments.
- Tooling Strategy & Governance: Shape and execute long-term tool strategies, service catalog definitions, and compliance standards across enterprise and secure/closed-area lab environments.
- People Management & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a technical team of engineers and administrators supporting the EE discipline, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Security & Compliance Readiness: Ensure all EE tool deployments, server configurations, and data exchanges meet rigorous enterprise security and Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance standards, especially for secure/classified programs.
- AI & Workflow Automation Integration: Champion the adoption of modern AI-driven tools, automation scripts, and smart analytics to streamline user onboarding and predict license demand trends.
- Travel required to our Raytheon locations in the Domestic US, including McKinney TX and Tucson AZ, as well as our other locations.
Qualifications you Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
- Experience in technical management or engineering software leadership, ideally within aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware/software environments.
- Domain Experience with electrical engineering software ecosystems, computer-aided engineering (CAE) platforms, and complex license server management (e.g., FlexPLM, RLM).
- Leadership experience in managing technical personnel, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and driving enterprise-level digital transformation projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience as a Manager or Team Leader in a Defense contracting company
- Security & Compliance Readiness: Ensure all EE tool deployments, server configurations, and data exchanges meet rigorous enterprise security and Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance standards, especially for secure/classified programs.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
