Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Center Cabling Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage physical layer connectivity within our high-performance data center environments. This role focuses on structured cabling solutions for networking, compute (including GPU clusters), and storage systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning
Design structured cabling systems to support networking, GPU clusters, storage, and server interconnects in hyperscale and HPC environments.
Create detailed cabling plans, including rack elevations, patch panel layouts, cable pathways, labeling schemes, and port mapping.
Collaborate with network, compute, and facilities teams to align physical connectivity with logical network architecture.
Implementation & Oversight
Provide technical oversight during cabling installation, including quality control and adherence to standards.
Work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure proper materials, terminations, and installation practices.
Conduct audits and inspections of installed cabling infrastructure to verify performance and compliance.
Standards & Documentation
Develop and maintain documentation, including cabling diagrams, as-built drawings, and change records.
Ensure cabling designs align with industry standards such as TIA/EIA, ANSI/BICSI, and corporate guidelines.
Define and enforce labeling conventions, color codes, and cable management best practices.
Performance & Optimization
Design for performance and scalability to support high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnects (e.g., InfiniBand, 100G/400G Ethernet).
Evaluate new cabling technologies and solutions (e.g., fiber types, DACs, AOCs) for future deployments.
Support operational teams with troubleshooting, upgrades, and capacity planning.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $175,000 - $250,000 base salary. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
