Senior Manager, Embedded Software, Datacenters & Energy
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Embedded Software, to join our Software and Digital Platforms Group in Cork, Ireland, working on Datacenters & Energy products.
About the Role
As Senior Manager, Embedded Software, you will contribute to the definition of the software vision for Analog Devices' Datacenters & Energy business unit and execute that vision. You'll lead the development of cutting-edge embedded systems that drive next-generation intelligent power management for Datacenters, ensuring they meet the highest standards for security, reliability, and real time performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll build and scale world-class engineering teams while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver software solutions that improve datacentre resilience and advance power management innovation. You'll bring deep experience developing real time software, with a keen understanding of how to balance functional requirements with exceptional performance and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Partner with executive leadership, product management, and business stakeholders to translate datacentre power management needs into compelling software strategies and roadmaps.
- Define the technical vision and architecture for secure, scalable, and resilient software solutions across embedded platforms.
- Drive innovation in digital power control technologies while ensuring alignment with business unit priorities.
Team Building & Management
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams including architects, embedded engineers, QA, and DevOps professionals.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Identify skills gaps and make strategic hiring decisions to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Technical Execution
- Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle from architecture through deployment and maintenance.
- Lead complex system integration initiatives with datacentre ecosystem partners.
- Champion modern software practices including Agile, CI/CD, and AI development tools.
- Ensure software solutions meet stringent quality standards and cybersecurity requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with hardware engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product integration.
- Communicate technical strategies and progress effectively to both technical teams and executive leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive software development experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
- 7+ years leading complete software development lifecycles from concept to production.
- 5+ years architecting, developing and launching high performance, high resilience real time embedded systems.
- 5+ years managing globally distributed engineering teams.
- Proven track record building and scaling embedded engineering organizations.
Technical Expertise
- Expert level C/C++ development and debug skills.
- Expert level knowledge of ARM Cortex and RiscV architectures.
- Deep expertise in real time embedded systems, both bare metal and RTOS.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in software QA.
- Demonstrated experience implementing complex real time control algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of Digital Signal Processing.
- Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies.

Additional Information
· Travel: Up to 10% .

· Reports to: Director, Datacentre & Energy Software.
