Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Business Intelligence will support BeOne’s Commercial and Medical Affairs functions in Europe and New Markets regions with secondary data acquisition, data vendor management, channel data partnerships and data sharing, and Business Intelligence platforms for the Executive and HQ Teams. This role reports to the Director, Business Intelligence and will work closely with Regional and local Brand and Commercial Leads, and Field Sales and Medical teams. Senior Manager will serve as valuable and trusted partner to business, addressing critical data questions, managing data governance program and leading data acquisition, managing BI and Reporting infrastructure and interfacing with large ecosystem of local data vendors in Europe and New Markets.
Essential Functions of the job:
Data acquisition Strategy (30%)
Execute on the overall strategic direction, vision and roadmap for Market data strategy for Europe and New Markets.
Partner with the cross functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging secondary data assets and GCMT data infrastructure to drive business decisions and business process optimization.
Own the relationship and process for acquiring data from third party providers across markets in Europe and New Markets. This will include Customer Master reference data sources, secondary sales datasets, syndicated reports and platforms, patient utilization/audit datasets.
Partner with the data management team to develop data onboarding and integration plan for new datasets. Review the data dictionaries and layouts from the providers and develop end to end integration plan towards final business insights and reports.
Conduct data vendor evaluations to determine best data offerings based on market coverage and richness of data. Perform thorough impact assessment before onboarding new data assets and surfacing secondary data in Executive Insights platform (Guru), Field Insights platform (Navigator), and ad-hoc reports.
Create a robust data quality framework and run DQM checks to ensure accuracy and quality of data from the data vendors, holding them accountable to quality standards.
Provide data analysis support to local stakeholders, data review and cleansing exercises, and data reporting as part of our data sharing agreements.
Business Intelligence (50%)
Manage Home Office / Executive Reporting Platform and Field Insights and Reporting platform. Manage regular operations for both HQ and Field Platforms working with the Implementation vendor teams.
Manage Implementation Vendor capacity and enhancements backlog. Work closely with Regional Commercial and Medical Affairs stakeholders to capture technical requirement specifications including Application mockups, business logic rules, data transformation rules, and any other non-functional requirements.
Ensure highest quality standards for delivery of enhancements, and regular application refreshes. Ensure scalable technical design while updating and enhancing applications and recommending best design and implementation practices to internal stakeholders and external implementation partners.
Manage ongoing operations process including Application Refresh notifications, Inquiry/Issue Trackers, Enhancement backlog management,
Proactively identify and resolve potential data issues/gaps/evolution of Executive and Field Insights BI platform
Manages countries/HQ ad hoc requests (lists/reports generations from our data warehouse)
User Training and Adoption (20%)
Coordinate data and syndicated platform trainings for our stakeholders in Europe and New Markets to ensure sustained engagement with our data and analytics platforms.
Review utilization of syndicated platforms, manage licenses and develop strategies to drive higher engagement.
Assist in onboarding new users and training them to drive adoption of the GCMT platforms/applications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Management or a related discipline.
+7 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry, Life Sciences consulting, Commercial operations or related fields.
Extensive experience with local secondary data offerings, data nuances and limitations.
Experience with drug distribution model and channels in different markets in Europe. Experience working with Wholesalers and Limited Risk distributors to establish data reporting standards.
Knowledge of Sales and Medical Affairs field operations is preferred.
Experience with data exploration, data analysis using Business Intelligence platforms, and databases.
Experience summarizing key insights from the data and share/present to the business stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation and project management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrix environment and build solid relationships across the organization.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with solid business acumen and the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data for high-performance and trustworthy business analysis.
Strong project management and delivery experience, including project planning, budget oversight, and staffing of project teams.
