The Head of Agentic BI Product will lead a team responsible for the full product management lifecycle of all BI solutions, from vision and intake through delivery, adoption, optimization, and rationalization. This role will partner closely with business leaders, data engineering, and governance teams to ensure BI products are intuitive, trusted, scalable, and widely used to drive decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
BI Product Strategy & Vision
Define and own the enterprise BI product vision and strategy, with Power BI as the core visualization and consumption platform.
Establish and maintain a multi‑year BI product roadmap aligned to business priorities, platform capabilities, and user needs.
Position dashboards, reports, and analytical assets as products, each with clear purpose, target users, value propositions, and success metrics.
Continuously evaluate emerging BI and visualization capabilities to enhance user experience, automation, and self‑service analytics.
BI Platform & Portfolio Ownership
Serve as the product owner for the Power BI platform, including standards, user experience, governance models, and scalability.
Oversee the entire portfolio of BI dashboards and solutions, ensuring alignment, consistency, and relevance across the enterprise.
Lead ongoing rationalization efforts to consolidate, retire, or redesign dashboards to reduce duplication and improve clarity and adoption.
Define and enforce design, usability, and performance standards to deliver a consistent, high‑quality BI experience.
Product Lifecycle Management & Delivery
Establish structured intake, prioritization, and backlog management processes for BI products and enhancements.
Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements and delivery plans.
Oversee product launches, enhancements, and major releases, ensuring readiness, documentation, and communication to users.
Balance speed of delivery with long‑term platform sustainability and technical excellence.
Adoption, Experience & Value Realization
Own adoption and usage metrics for BI products, using telemetry and feedback to continuously improve engagement and satisfaction.
Drive initiatives to increase self‑service analytics, reduce manual reporting, and improve time‑to‑insight for stakeholders.
Gather and incorporate user feedback to refine dashboards, navigation, and storytelling effectiveness.
Clearly articulate and measure the business value delivered by BI products, linking usage to outcomes and decisions.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence
Act as the primary BI product partner to executive and senior business leaders, deeply understanding their decision‑making needs.
Translate complex analytical capabilities into clear, user‑centric experiences that resonate with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Influence enterprise decision‑making by promoting product thinking, data literacy, and a culture of insight‑driven action.
Align stakeholders around shared priorities, trade‑offs, and roadmap decisions.
Data Governance, Quality & Trust
Partner with data governance and engineering teams to ensure BI products are built on trusted, well‑defined, and high‑quality data.
Ensure consistent KPI definitions, semantic models, and metadata across BI products.
Embed governance, security, and compliance considerations into BI product design without compromising usability.
Advocate for strong documentation, data lineage, and transparency to build confidence in BI outputs.
Qualifications
Required
10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data product roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or product ownership capacity.
Demonstrated experience owning and managing BI platforms, with deep hands‑on and strategic expertise in Power BI.
Proven success leading BI as a product, including roadmap development, portfolio management, adoption measurement, and rationalization.
Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, and analytical architectures that support scalable BI products.
Experience partnering with engineering, governance, and business stakeholders in complex, data‑intensive environments (financial services preferred).
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence executives and drive alignment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data Analytics, or similar).
Experience operating BI platforms on cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS).
Familiarity with Agile and product management methodologies applied to analytics and data products.
Exposure to advanced analytics, automation, or AI‑enabled insights within BI platforms.
