KPMG's Corporate Tax division is looking for a highly talented tax professional, with manager experience in delivering Australian corporate tax compliance and reporting services.

Job Description

Our Corporate Tax division supports leading financial services organisations across banking and capital markets, wealth and asset management, superannuation and insurance. We help clients navigate complex Australian and international tax obligations, strengthen tax governance and manage the tax implications of transactions, regulatory change and evolving business models.

Your Opportunity

As part of the Corporate Tax Advisory team, you will work with a portfolio of financial services clients and:

  • Build trusted relationships with clients across banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, superannuation and insurance, developing a strong understanding of their commercial and regulatory environments.
  • Lead multiple financial services tax engagements of varying size and complexity, ensuring high-quality and commercially focused delivery.
  • Advise clients on complex corporate income tax matters, including tax compliance, tax provisions, governance, transactions and strategic tax planning.
  • Prepare and review well-researched tax advice that translates technical issues into practical outcomes for financial services clients.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members while contributing to the growth of our financial services tax capability.

  • Strong corporate income tax experience gained in a professional services, legal or in-house environment, ideally supporting financial services clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian corporate income tax, with the ability to research complex issues and produce clear, commercially focused advice.
  • Experience across one or more financial services sectors, such as banking, capital markets, wealth or asset management, superannuation or insurance.

Qualifications

A legal, commerce, accounting or related degree; CA, CTA or equivalent qualification is desirable
