Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assures The Salvation Army’s impact, mission, programs, programs and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to potential and currently engaged corporations throughout the North Texas Area Command.
  • Maintain a portfolio of corporate donors and a prospect pipeline to raise funds to support the work of The Salvation Army of North Texas.
  • Responsibility for analyzing the gift potential of corporations within the North Texas Command, particularly those whose employees volunteer with The Salvation Army, and devising an appropriate strategy to solicit gifts.
  • Creates, implements and evaluates a process for converting non-donor corporations whose employees volunteer with The Salvation Army to donors.
  • Creates and implements an annual plan for corporate stewardship, recognition, retention, renewal and up-grading.
  • Develops and implements strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit potential and current corporate donors with the ultimate goal of moving them toward closure of proposed gifts.
  • Analyzes and reports the progress and financial outcomes of activities weekly.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
  • Ability to speak before large groups in person, by radio and television.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within the Command in order to participate in meetings.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
  • Work may be performed in an office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like but not limited to the office environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • And 
  • Three years of experience in corporate relations and/or corporate giving, 
  • Or 
  • any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications:

  • Valid Texas Drivers License
