Summary of Job:
Kyowa Kirin North America (KKNA) is a fast-growing organization dedicated to using state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and develop medicines that have a profound impact on patients’ lives. Since 2018, we have received FDA approval for three novel medicines that treat hematologic, central nervous system (CNS), and rare diseases/conditions. Public Affairs (P.A) supports KKNA in engaging and informing key stakeholders both within and outside the organization, building a solid reputation as a high-growth, global specialty pharma company striving to deliver a promising portfolio of novel medicines that have a profound impact on patients. The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, Social Media, will support this strategy by creating, strategically sharing, and amplifying compelling stories that bring our brand to life for key stakeholder audiences. This person will be vital to the Public Affairs team, helping to shape and grow our message. This individual should be an experienced, imaginative, and driven professional who can work collaboratively across the company.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the external voice of Kyowa Kirin North America on our current four social media channels.
- Assess current-state performance and develop a strategic plan for growth moving forward.
- Develop and implement a content strategy that includes creation, calendaring, and sharing to build the KKNA brand and increase followers among our stakeholder audiences.
- Create tailored content and strategies for each social media channel, along with goals and metrics to measure success and plans for potential growth.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to translate scientific news, media releases, advocacy, and PR campaigns into social media calendars, posts, and events.
- Collaborate with SMEs to build a library of evergreen content.
- Actively participate as a member of the PA team by suggesting opportunities and ideas to enhance our work and narrative; assist the team with their social media content needs.
- Collaborate with the KKNA agency of record to develop a social ad strategy to amplify key content and establish a steady online presence for the company.
- Actively monitor corporate channels; ensure full compliance with pharmacovigilance / adverse event reporting, issues management protocols, and other applicable Company Policies and Procedures.
Job Requirements:
Education
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Candidates who possess an MBA are preferred.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of five + years of experience in social and digital marketing, with a preference for candidates with pharmaceutical marketing experience. The ideal candidate will have experience as a social media manager, including executing multi-media campaigns and content creation. We seek someone who can develop creative content that reflects the organization's voice and engages audiences with compelling designs. Candidates should be proficient in working with digital media and be active users or consumers of various social media platforms. A strong understanding of what works and doesn't work on major social media channels is essential. Knowledge of social media best practices, channel management, and measurement tools is required. Additionally, applicants should have experience managing an agency and overseeing budgets.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Canva, Khoros, Veeva, and video editing.

Physical Demands: Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work, ability to travel.
