We are seeking an agile Senior Manager of Content Operations to lead content for a large, global content team. This role will collaborate closely with content strategy and growth leaders as well as cross-functionally with People, Engineering, and other departments.
This is a full-time remote contract position. The contractor will be expected to work Tuesday-Saturday 4:00AM - 12:00PM Manila time.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct and cultivate a large international network of freelance content creators, implementing robust recruitment and retention strategies to bring in top-tier talent
- Optimize effective project management and execution across content initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines while fostering a collaborative environment
- Craft and execute a comprehensive training and onboarding program for new content team members with a focus on urgency, productivity, and engagement
- Establish and champion best practices in tooling and workflow management, standardizing processes across content teams to boost efficiency and quality
- Act as both a strategic visionary and hands-on leader, diving into execution when needed while maintaining a long-term perspective.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization, implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations and elevate content delivery
- Advocate for the strategic integration of AI and emerging technologies in content development, guiding teams in leveraging these tools to enhance quality and output
- Take ownership of content-related tools and technology, working in tandem with engineering teams to refine existing solutions and spearhead the development of new functionalities
- Employ a deep understanding of content development trends and ed-tech market dynamics to inform strategic decisions, ensuring that content operations remain agile and forward-thinking
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 8-10 years of leadership experience in large scale digital content operations, preferably in ed tech
- Experience leading distributed, remote teams, including contractors, with a focus on productivity, collaboration, and quality
- Expertise in process improvement, implementation, and change management
- Ability to be both a hands-on manager and a strategic leader working with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Strong organization skills, including managing urgent competing priorities
- Proven success in creating operational solutions with AI tools such as ChatGPT and developing ways to integrate those tools into content operations processes
- Familiarity with SEO
