​​Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance activities for NERC registered projects.
  • Track and complete regulatory filings for NERC registered projects.
  • Work with NERC Implementation team during construction phase of projects to complete project registration with applicable entities.
  • Lead meetings with various stakeholders, including clients, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and more.
  • Manage workflow for Compliance Analyst.

Required Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years renewable energy industry experience in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations roles. 

Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ work experience in NERC Compliance

Experience Preferred

  • 4+ years actively managing/supporting a Generator Owner and/or Generator Operator compliance program

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications Preferred

  • Technical knowledge of power systems operations and NERC Reliability Standards
  • NERC Operator Certification strongly preferred

Company/Industry Related Knowledge

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Additional knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, and other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements desirable


This position is fully remote and may be based anywhere in the United States.


The target hiring range for this position is $100,000-130,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors. This range is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a guarantee of any specific salary.

Skills Required

  • 2-4 years of management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of renewable energy industry experience in asset management, business management, contract management, compliance, or operations
  • 4+ years of work experience in NERC Compliance
  • 6+ years of domain experience
  • University degree or equivalent with 6+ years of domain experience, or a master's/graduate degree with 4+ years of domain experience
  • Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior-level management, CEOs, and boards of directors
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, NERC, FERC, or other reporting obligations for operating projects
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and presentations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to track and execute large volumes of ongoing compliance obligations
  • Personnel management, coaching, and mentoring experience
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Root cause analysis and process improvement experience
  • 5+ years actively managing or supporting a Generator Owner compliance program
  • Working knowledge of photovoltaic system design, wind, or battery storage operations and management
  • Regulatory audit experience
  • Experience managing a second level of a large team
  • Successful delivery of large cross-functional projects
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt experience
  • Knowledge of ERCOT, CAISO, other ISO/RTO markets, State Public Utilities Commissions, and IA/PAA operational requirements
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF toolsets
