The Division Communications lead is a member of the Work Dynamics communications team with focus on two divisions within Work Dynamics: Life Sciences and Public Institutions. 

 

This individual will lead the planning and execution of employee and executive communications (internal/external communications for Division President; select client messaging) for the Work Dynamics Life Sciences and Public Institutions Divisions, as well as contribute to select Americas-wide programs. This role manages engaging, informative and inspiring communications to employees that enable change and transformation while supporting employee engagement and retention; and external communications that strengthen each industry’s market presence and support marketing campaign efforts. This role understands key messages and business challenges, translates them into clear and crisp messaging points on behalf of the Work Dynamics Division President, and adeptly guides and supports executives through communications initiatives.  

 

This individual has the presence and stature to act as a trusted advisor to senior executives. This role will report to the Americas Communications Lead for Work Dynamics. 

 

Essential responsibilities 

  • Understand and clearly articulate Global and Americas goals and objectives in relation to Work Dynamics’ mission, values and strategic direction in all communications—adapted as needed to land with division audiences. 

  • Develop robust strategic communication plans that align to Global and Americas that include digital, on-demand and multi-channel execution; introduce and implement new ideas and best practices to ensure channels and content stay relevant and approachable 

  • Play a key role in promoting account personnel stories, wins and successes to regional, business line and enterprise-wide communication channels 

  • Participate in enterprise-wide communications initiatives, including adopting new channels, developing centralized resources and being an active member of the communications community. 

  • Assist with the planning, execution and content at marquis client events and leadership meetings on site 

  • Prepare scripts and presentations for executive-level speaking engagements, including internal and external events 

  • Suggest social media topics relevant to each executive’s area of expertise to Public Relations (PR) colleagues 

  • Manage the industry division’s major intranet, collaboration sites and internal communities 

  • Provide strategic counsel to business leaders on communications issues and change management programs  

  • Collaborate with Americas-region counterparts to ensure aligned and consistent messaging drives desired results across divisions, geographies and partnering business lines 

  • Work in partnership with industry marketing leaders to align communications for industry messaging, marketing strategy and client engagement emails to share relevant thought leadership, events, research, etc. as aligned to business goals/needs 

  • Help other teams within the division and guide on-account communications managers within your division to elevate their communications, templates and protocol and connect them to playbooks and firm-wide best practices 

 

Candidate profile 

10+ years related experience as a communications manager, this person has a well-rounded strategic communications background. Key attributes and skills include: 

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, and verbal communication  

  • Collaborative disposition; ability to solve problems constructively and proactively to achieve a positive outcome 

  • Creative problem solver and self-starter with demonstrated agility, bias toward innovation and ability to drive change 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism or related field 

  • Marketing, communications and/or journalism experience 

  • Commercial real estate experience preferred 

  • Background working in a matrixed organization preferred 

  • Experience managing multiple communications channels and reaching disparate audiences 

  • Experience in change communications and working across geographies  

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate and promote multiple priorities of senior leaders concurrently 

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent results in a fast-moving environment 

  • Ability to work confidently, collaboratively and effectively with all levels of employees 

  • Understanding of and commitment to client service

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 – 145,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
