About the Role – Senior Manager, Communications

Peak Energy is looking for a Senior Manager, Communications to lead corporate communications, public relations, and product storytelling.

You will work closely with Peak’s leadership team and across Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Engineering to shape how we communicate our company, technology, and products externally. You’ll turn company priorities, customer insights, and complex technical inputs into clear, compelling narratives.

This is a hands-on role that spans strategy and execution. You will write press releases, develop messaging and media pitches, prepare executives for interviews, shape product positioning, and lead major announcements from initial strategy through launch.


What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Corporate Communications & Executive Communications

  • Develop and execute Peak’s corporate communications and PR strategy.

  • Work directly with executives to develop messaging, talking points, presentations, and external narratives.

  • Write press releases, media pitches, FAQs, briefing materials, and executive communications.

  • Prepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and major announcements.

  • Build media relationships and proactively drive earned coverage.

  • Manage Peak’s external PR agency, including priorities, pitching strategy, and performance.

Positioning, Content & Storytelling

  • Develop and maintain Peak’s corporate, technology, and product messaging.

  • Translate technical differentiation, customer insights, and market dynamics into clear value propositions and compelling external stories.

  • Partner with Commercial, Product, and Engineering to validate proof points, customer evidence, and technical claims.

  • Develop executive thought leadership and review technical explainers, case studies, white papers, and customer-facing content to ensure messaging alignment

  • Partner with executives and subject matter experts to develop differentiated points of view on key market topics.

Launches & Go-to-Market Communications

  • Lead communications for product launches, customer announcements, partnerships, financing, manufacturing milestones, and other major company news.

  • Partner with Government Affairs, Product, Commercial, and Engineering to translate GTM strategy into positioning, proof points, launch narratives, and supporting materials.

  • Own communications execution from narrative and content development through media strategy and external rollout.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

  • 6–8+ years of experience in communications, PR, product communications, or a related role.

  • Exceptional writer and editor with extensive experience writing press releases, pitches, executive messaging, and long-form content.

  • Strong media relations experience and a track record of securing meaningful earned coverage.

  • Experience working directly with senior executives and the judgment and confidence to advise leadership on messaging and external communications.

  • Experience positioning and launching technical products, technologies, or major company initiatives.

  • Ability to translate complex technical and commercial information into clear, credible narratives and customer value propositions.

  • High ownership and ability to move between strategy and hands-on execution.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant PR agency experience strongly preferred, ideally combined with in-house experience.

  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, climate tech, industrial technology, or another technical industry strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$200,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills. Our competitive benefits package includes:
