Reporting to the Vice President, FP&A and working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, the Senior Manager, Commercial & Strategic FP&A is a strategic business partner who adds value by developing and presenting accurate and pertinent financial guidance. They will be responsible for providing forward-looking financial analysis and reporting and developing and implementing robust procedures that create accurate, timely, and relevant financial statements, measurements, forecasts, plans, projections, and business analysis. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader that is ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the data/systems/models/etc. They will ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to FP&A is taken across the organization and that significant variances from planned or forecasted results are identified, understood, and that recommended corrective actions agreed with senior leadership. This role will ensure financial objectives are achieved, while focusing on continuous improvement and frequent communications with key stakeholders across the business to drive financial performance.


  • Partner with senior leadership team to provide business insights to the organization & executive team
  • Support new commercial business leader to deliver organizational goals through management of sales pipeline and analysis of commercial opportunities.
  • Support for new clinical development business leader including business plan for Clin/Dev and pipeline assumption modeling of commercial products that will come from Clin/Dev investment
  • Enable a culture of FP&A excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner and expert on financial matters providing guidance and assistance to other functional groups as needed
  • Prepare us to scale by refining and managing FP&A processes, including:
  • Annual Planning
  • Monthly reporting packs with KPI’s
  • Monthly rolling forecasts with analysis of variances and implications
  • Ad-hoc decision support
  • Strategic business modeling including organic and inorganic investments, sales pipeline conversion, capacity planning and overall model for Simtra LRP
  • Support for responding to and standardizing required sponsor reporting
  • Support for lender reporting including preparation of presentation materials and responses to Q&A
  • Finance support for M&A, market analytics and competitive intelligence


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar from an accredited four year institution (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • High energy and self-motivated. Passion for building templates, calendars, processes, and systems.
  • Experience in a global Pharma Services or CDMO business preferred, not required.
  • Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred but not required.  
  • Collaborative and partnership-oriented style, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage and engage internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work directly with the senior management as a business partner driving results and contributing to the success of the business.
  • Successful experience and track record of M&A integration activity.
