Job Description

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned professional to take on the role of Senior Manager, Commercial Operations & Planning in the Philippines. You will be at the forefront of shaping Grab's approach to commerce and forging key alliances that drive business growth. You will spearhead the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at serving enterprise, medium, and small businesses. This role involves comprehensive planning, strategizing, and managing operations related to our merchants and external partners. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Team to ensure efficient and up-to-date processes, while also developing frameworks to provide clear strategic direction for the team.

  • Operations: Efficiently manage and run the Commercial operations team that is the backbone for anything related to our merchants, advertisers and external partners. This includes onboarding and after sales support and service.

  • Strategic Planning: Identify, develop and implement opportunities in improving merchant experience on the platform and enhance performance to meet the company's overall business objectives. 

  • Business Execution: Oversee the execution of the commercial team’s initiatives, including partnerships with key stakeholders including merchants and advertisers, product launches, and marketing campaigns. 

  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of professionals responsible for commercial operations, sales, business development and partnerships. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence to drive performance and achieve targets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders from Country Operations, Technology, Marketing, and other departments to align the commercial team’s initiatives with overall company goals. Drive cross-functional projects and initiatives to maximize synergies and efficiency.

  • Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of the commercial team’s initiatives including but not limited to revenue growth, partnership acquisition and retention, customer engagement, and market share expansion. Regularly analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.

  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying monetization opportunities like advertising and partnerships by leveraging insights, market trends, and consumer behavior data to inform decision-making.

  • Product Development: provide product input to the design and improve our merchant and sales solutions working alongside our Product & Engineering teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce or related industries, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid proven track record leading B2B sales or general management with experience working with businesses across Southeast Asia

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and initiative

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Deep understanding of the Philippine market landscape, consumer behavior, and industry trends

  • Team Player with the ability to work across a matrix environment in a fast paced environment

  • Experience working in a tech-driven or startup environment is a plus
