The Role

Job Description:

Primary finance business partner for the Americas regional account management segment (Sales organization), reporting to the Americas Commercial Finance leader.

In this role, you will work with several areas across LSEG to 1) provide guidance, analysis and insight to senior management and 2) drive sales, ASV and revenue growth through data-informed decisions, commercial excellence and sales-force effectiveness (efficiency and throughput) - right metrics, measurement system, actions, follow-through.

Critical responsibilities would include (but not limited to):

  • Identification and/or support of market and business growth opportunities (e.g. white space analysis)

  • Engagement in all material sale and renewal discussions. Support of complex commercial engagements. Protect value/price, commercial terms, and the ability to successfully fulfill contractual obligations

  • Drive accountability for pipeline health and performance on a team and individual level. Lead all aspects of pipeline (short and long-term) adequacy and quality – hold team accountable to coverage requirements

  • Long-term planning and forecasting of sales, revenue and expenses for the assigned SAM organization. Track contract renewals and risk management with insights into risks/opportunities

  • Participate in account planning using critical metrics such as data usage, desktop minimum commitments, price achievements etc.

  • Implement global sales commission plan in partnership with HR, Sales Operations and the Commissions team. Support incentive discussions

  • Own funding plan/budget for sales resources and appropriate allocation (highest and best use) to ensure efficiency and return to LSEG shareholders

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Finance / Sales Operations (including exposure to both P&L and balance sheet accounts). Finance business partnering experience will be considered a plus!

  • Finance/Accounting degree or anything related will be required. MBA, CFA desirable

  • Strong customer focus and work ethic! Commercially minded, able to inspire change across finance and related functions

  • Proactive upbeat approach and able to challenge the status quo

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, teamwork, and project managements aptitudes. Outstanding interpersonal abilities to function optimally as part of an high-performer team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies

  • Values the importance of data standards and the impact of reporting integrity

  • Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development

  • Self-starter and can work autonomously

  • Advanced MS Office required. Pyramid, PowerBI, Tableau are desirable

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $131,000 - $218,400.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
