SALARY: $104,800-$124,450, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Category Manager for AB ONE is responsible for leading our efforts to build and implement category strategies for key retail customers across AB ONE markets. In this role, you will work directly with AB ONE Key Account and Shelf Set teams to create localized category strategies; using insights about industry performance and consumer behavior to support local account plans to drive growth for our Retail partners. This role will work cross functionally with our internal and external partners and develop relationships with local customers to align on Joint Business Plan and Category Management objectives around shelf space, assortment, pricing, and promotion opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and present customized Category Strategies and Joint Business Plan recommendations for key Chain & Independent retail customers, using Industry performance analysis and supporting insights
Derive insights from various syndicated and non-syndicated data sources (IRIS space, Circana, Numerator, Beer Institute, etc.) to identify performance and execution opportunities across AB ONE markets
Provide insights-supported recommendations to key retail customers around Beer Category space allocation, days of supply, SKU assortment and rationalization opportunities
Collaborate with AB ONE Retail and Shelf Space teams on creation of programming sell-in materials and Category management proposals
Generate sales materials for AB ONE commercial teams to use around strategic initiatives and priorities
Support AB ONE local Shelf Set Coordinators with regular training and resources needed to develop productive shelf proposals
Track and monitor AB ONE execution of shelf space objectives, collaborating with AB ONE Divisions to creatively problem-solve where opportunities are identified or goals are not being met.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's Degree is required, with an emphasis in business preferred.
Category Management experience in consumer goods to retail chain.
Familiarity with space planning technology, syndicated data sources and analytics software, and their capabilities is a plus (JDA, ShelfIQ, Circana, PowerBI, etc.)
Knowledge of retail selling initiatives such as category management and information-based selling
Ability to use large data sets to develop insights, identify and present opportunities and recommendations to stakeholders in an impactful manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet)
General knowledge of the beverage industry
General knowledge of beverage wholesaler operations and retail sales execution
