SALARY: $110,000-$124,000, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior Category Manager in the Cincinnati area with a passion for the Beer Industry. This position will work in a team environment with a focus on owning the team in developing insights, seeing opportunities and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth to our external retail customers and internal partners. Searching for an individual who takes ownership of their work and always pushes themselves and others to reach higher to achieve more.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build positive relationship with retailer as trusted Category advisor across all areas of the Beer business by proactively seeing opportunities and communicating actionable solutions

Develop impactful category analyses and customize shopper insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources and content from our Center of Excellence

Synthesize learnings from various sources to build clear and impactful stories in a visually appealing manner

Develop category strategy recommendations to drive growth based upon found opportunities

Partner with Sales team to engage external retailer buying team in defined territories with goal of identifying opportunities to grow the Beer category

Pro-actively identify and communicate market level opportunities using standard weekly dashboarding

Provide space allocation and assortment recommendations

Analyze and recommend display and promotional optimization opportunities

Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications

Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI to manipulate and organize data

Advanced proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint to organize and visualize the story line for presentations

Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)

Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.)

Ability to understand information, develop insights and see opportunities when analyzing large data sets

Ability to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling story

Ability to expertly present insights, opportunities and recommendations to internal or external partners in a persuasive manner

Strong verbal and written communication skills
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business/marketing

Previous experience with consumer package goods sales, marketing, or syndicated research

Understanding of DSD, 3-tier system, and a strong knowledge of the retail environment

Strong analytical skills with all types of data, speaking publicly to retail customers, and computer proficiency

Strong background in category management tools, processes, and business consulting
-
Understanding of shopper research and insights, familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures
-
Excellent follow-up, communication, presentation, and leadership skills
