Sitting within the Business Marketing team, your role as Senior Manager, Business Segment Marketing will be responsible for leading the marketing portfolio supporting Global Markets and the Economics, Markets and Research team.

This role is for someone passionate about B2B marketing, with a strong understanding of corporate and institutional Australia, who can shape market presence through thought leadership, flagship events and strategic partnerships, while applying disciplined prioritisation to deliver the greatest impact.

Do work that matters:

Reporting into the Chapter Lead (Executive Manager) Corporate & Institutional Marketing, you will lead and deliver integrated marketing programs aligned to business strategy and Group priorities.

You will make a visible impact by developing a deep understanding of institutional customers and market dynamics, shaping compelling narrative, and delivering high‑profile, insight‑led programs – including signature events, conferences and partnerships – that reinforce CommBank’s credibility and leadership in markets and economics.

On any given day you will:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end marketing portfolio for Global Markets, Economics and Research, ensuring clear prioritisation across a diverse and sophisticated agenda
  • Shape and deliver thought leadership and insights‑led campaigns, translating complex research and market commentary into compelling, client‑relevant marketing
  • Lead the strategy and delivery of flagship conferences, signature events, forums and market moments, ensuring they are outcome‑led and their impact is extended beyond the moment in time  via content amplification.
  • Develop and manage strategic, targeted partnerships and sponsorship‑led programs that enhance CommBank’s market presence and client relationships
  • Apply sound judgement and partner closely with senior business stakeholders to prioritise effort and focus marketing capability where it delivers the greatest value
  • Work collaboratively across Brand, Content, Product Marketing, Events and Media teams to deliver integrated, high‑quality outcomes
  • Identify opportunities through data, client insight, market research and analytics to drive brand consideration, NPS, engagement and pipeline contribution
  • Leverage marketing platforms and client engagement tools to enhance the customer experience across priority segments
  • Lead delivery through influence by setting clear briefs, priorities and success measures across cross‑functional teams
  • Build strong senior stakeholder relationships and act as a confident, trusted marketing partner
  • Establish robust reporting and evaluation to demonstrate marketing contribution and effectiveness
  • Champion disciplined ways of working, strong risk culture and customer‑first thinking
  • Manage agency and partner relationships to deliver high‑impact outcomes
  • Manage spend within agreed budgets and drive productivity across the portfolio
  • Contribute positively to a high‑performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture

  • High credibility with senior stakeholders and the confidence to influence outcomes
  • Experience translating research, insights and data into effective marketing and engagement

  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and demonstrating impact
