ABOUT RINSE

Rinse picks up, cleans, and delivers laundry and dry cleaning directly to consumers and through consumer facing partnerships. Operating in over a dozen major metropolitan cities across North America at an unprecedented scale for our industry, we pride ourselves on leading with excellence and integrity.
We think the small chores that quietly eat people's time are worth solving properly, not adequately, and we hold our brand work to the same standard: nothing generic, nothing borrowed, everything considered. “It's time to be great” isn't just our line to customers — it's how we expect our own team to work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a Senior Manager, Brand & Product Marketing to sit at the intersection of brand, product marketing, and content — the person who makes sure everything we put in front of customers, from a line of UX copy to a landing page to a social caption, sounds like it came from the same considered, high-taste brand and has done the job of distilling complexity into a relatable, seamless experience. You'll report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, own execution across our public-facing product surfaces, and be the day-to-day guardian of voice, quality, and craft across everything we ship that isn’t an advertising campaign.

This isn't a role for someone who wants a brief and a template. We're looking for someone who studies what's working elsewhere in marketing, product, and in culture; and knows how to translate the underlying principle into something unmistakably ours, rather than copying the surface. Good taste, sharp writing, and a bias toward building something exceptional and ownable over defaulting to what's already been done.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL…
  • Product Marketing management. Own and integrate with the necessary processes and relationships across the company to identify and execute on opportunities to advance the Rinse experience from discovery to new customer acquisition and cross/upsell flows in a manner that is collaborative, distinguishing, effective and efficient.
  • Own and evolve brand voice and quality standards across every public-facing surface — website, app, social, partnerships, CRM, and beyond — so Rinse reads as one considered brand everywhere a customer meets it.
  • Write and edit UX copy across the product and site, working closely with product and design so every flow, prompt, and empty state feels as considered as our advertising.
  • Plan, write, and manage production of long- and short-form content — from landing pages and campaign extensions to social content and partnership creative — from brief through to final asset.
  • Lead SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) strategy for owned content and site pages, keeping Rinse discoverable as search behavior shifts toward AI-driven answers.
  • Manage content and creative production end-to-end: briefing, scheduling, inside/outside coordination, and QA, so quality holds even as volume scales.
  • Own the brand and content experience across social and other public platforms, keeping a consistent point of view and quality bar across every post, caption, and reply.
  • Shape partnership UX and co-branded experiences — landing pages, integrations, campaigns — so every partner touchpoint reflects the same brand standard as our owned surfaces.
  • Track best practice across brand, product marketing, content, and adjacent categories, and translate what's working into ideas suited to Rinse — never a copy-paste of someone else's execution.
AS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU…
  • 5-8+ years in product marketing, brand marketing, and content with a portfolio that shows range across long-form, short-form, and UX writing.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills — you can hold one voice across a landing page, a push notification, and a caption, and you know the difference between good copy and clever copy.
  • Demonstrated good taste — an eye for quality, craft, and detail that shows up in the work itself, not just in how you talk about it.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and emerging AEO practices, and comfort partnering with growth and performance teams on how content shows up in search and AI-driven discovery.
  • Experience managing content or creative production — briefing, scheduling, vendor management — with the organizational rigor to keep quality high at volume.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: you default to building and testing over waiting for permission, and treat ambiguity as room to make something better rather than an excuse to wait.
  • A sharp eye for best practice paired with the judgment to adapt rather than imitate — you can point to work you admire, say why it works, and build something that fits Rinse specifically.
  • Comfort working across brand, product, and performance stakeholders, translating strategy into UX, copy and experience design into measurable outcomes.
WHY WORK AT RINSE
  • We have built a high-caliber team and have a tight-knit, collaborative work environment that values honesty and open communication.
  • We have a fully distributed team and remote-first culture but also have offices in all of our cities for those who want a flexible office environment.
  • We offer competitive compensation and stock options, in addition to great benefits, including health/dental/vision insurance, 401k plans with employer match, and free laundry and dry cleaning!
Salary range: $125,000-$150,000 per year

What We Do

Rinse is building the first and largest national (and global) brand in clothing care. We're taking on a massive consumer problem and creating a significantly better dry cleaning and laundry experience through the combination of "smart scheduling" and best-in-class quality, all supported by a strong technology backbone. We launched in 2013 and are currently in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Chicago, and Boston, with plans to launch multiple new markets in 2019. We've grown at double digit month-over-month rates since launch, have created a differentiated service our customers love, and have a model where the economics actually work. Rinse is backed by a group of leading VCs and CEOs who see the massive potential in what we are doing and know we are the team to do it. We are looking for stars to join our team and can’t wait to hear from you.
