Salary Range:
$138,000.00 - $180,000.00
Reverb is looking for a Senior Manager to join our Analytics team, focused on evolving our use of data to deliver better insights across the organization. You will report to our Senior Director of Analytics working closely with stakeholders and executives across Marketing, Finance, and Customer Experience teams.
This role will be responsible for leading a team of high performance Analysts with expertise across a number of business domains and technical functions to support Reverb's sustainable growth.
A typical day could involve:

  • Collaborating on data architecture plans to improve access to financial reporting
  • Communicating data inspired insights to leadership
  • Reviewing measurement methodologies for marketing campaigns and other operational improvements


Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with leaders across the company in Marketing, Finance, and Customer Experience to achieve shared objectives to improve operational efficiency and maximize return on investment by understanding key customer metrics, financial implications, and business goals. Being a strong collaborator is critical.
  • Own the BI and Analytics tools used across Reverb, which include Looker and Amplitude. Develop training, documentation, and processes to improve self-service for a variety of users.
  • Identify signals based on analysis of user data, market conditions, and other metrics to set up strategic discussions and advice on company decisions. Present results to Reverb's leaders.
  • Manage and inspire the team, which will include building a roadmap to support team objectives, prioritizing projects, hiring, mentoring, and leading by example.
  • Advocate for the appropriate level of measurement given the objective, understanding the tradeoffs between speed and analytical rigor.


This is a full-time position located in Chicago, reporting to the Sr Director of Analytics. Our hybrid work model offers flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work from home candidates who are comfortable traveling to the office location 4+ times per month.
Qualifications

  • 6+ years of proven experience leading major analytics initiatives
  • 3+ years of working directly with marketing, finance, or operational teams
  • Strong command of business intelligence tools and marketing / finance analytics techniques
  • Prior experience directly managing a team of analysts
  • Passionate about using data to inspire business decisions
  • Project management capabilities to improve prioritization and organization of requests from multiple partners.
  • Ability to distill actionable insights from complex, conflicting, or incomplete information and present the results to a wide range of audiences, from marketing teams to executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analysis for planning and understanding impact, which includes experiment design, sample size calculations, appropriate statistical techniques, and sizing opportunities that maximize impact.
  • Advanced SQL and Python / R: ability to manipulate data, run statistical tests
  • Experience managing BI tools like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc, including a firm understanding of data warehousing principles
