This role will shape BMO InvestorLine's AI portfolio and drive meaningful AI value creation for our clients and teams. The Senior Manager will combine strategy, product management, and transformation leadership to define AI priorities, translate opportunities into actionable roadmaps, lead AI products from discovery through launch and adoption, and ensure measurable value is realized within a responsible AI and regulatory framework.
The successful candidate will bring structured problem solving, strong business judgment, technical fluency in modern AI capabilities, and a proven ability to move from strategy through execution in a highly matrixed and regulated environment.
AI Strategy & Value Creation
- Own and evolve BMO InvestorLine's AI strategy, portfolio, and multi-year roadmap, aligning business objectives, client needs, market opportunities, enterprise priorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities, balancing value, feasibility, risk, dependencies, and resource constraints to maximize client and business impact.
- Develop quantitative business cases, value measurement frameworks, investment recommendations, and executive decision materials to support portfolio governance and funding decisions.
- Build alignment across business, technology, data, design, operations, risk, compliance, legal, and external partners to accelerate delivery and responsible AI adoption.
- Advise senior leaders on AI trends, competitive developments, emerging technologies, and strategic implications through clear, data-driven recommendations.
AI Product Management
- Define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and success measures for AI-powered client and employee experiences.
- Lead product discovery and prioritization by integrating client research, analytics, market intelligence, business objectives, and technical considerations into actionable product requirements.
- Lead E2E product delivery by partnering with technology, data, architecture, and design teams to translate strategic objectives into scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
- Lead vendor evaluations, partner engagements, and major product decisions, balancing client value, business outcomes, technical feasibility, operational readiness, and regulatory requirements.
- Guide products through the full lifecycle from concept and experimentation through launch, adoption, optimization, and value realization, leveraging analytics, experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and client feedback to continuously improve outcomes.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience spanning strategy and product, including a minimum of 2 years in management consulting and 2 years as a Product Manager or Product Owner for AI-powered products, platforms, or capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience developing AI strategies, business cases, and prioritized roadmaps, successfully translating them into delivered products, measurable adoption, and realized business value. You must have shipped an AI product to be considered for this role.
- Deep understanding of modern AI technologies, architectures, and delivery practices, including the AI software development lifecycle (AI SDLC), evaluation frameworks, guardrails, orchestration, observability, and multi-agent systems. This is not an AI engineering role, but requires sufficient technical fluency to shape strategy, define product requirements, make informed trade-offs, and drive execution.
- Proven ability to develop executive narratives, influence strategic decisions, and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across business, technology, data, design, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and external partners.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI, governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, particularly within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, ownership, accountability, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
