Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Senior Manager – AI Solutions is responsible for leading AI-driven innovation and transformation aligned with enterprise strategic objectives. Using a combination of business acumen, strategic insight, innovation and technology expertise, this role will focus on end-to-end design, delivery, and adoption of AI solutions across Squadron Energy. The Senior Manager – AI Solutions will champion AI literacy, foster a culture of experimentation, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Innovation

  • Accelerate enterprise innovation and transformation by building and maintaining an AI portfolio and roadmap to deliver AI initiatives.
  • Establish a set of evaluation practices to estimate, measure and foster accountability for business value and ROI of AI initiatives.
  • Lead the strategy and decision model for build, buy and blend AI solutions.

AI Solution Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions tailored to business unit needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI use cases.
  • Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability.
  • Develop internal and external networks to drive AI capability growth.

Responsible AI, Governance & Risk

  • Define responsible AI policies and guardrails (privacy, security, bias, explainability, human-in-the-loop, model risk management).
  • Run architecture review and AI change governance to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Track usage, outcomes and risks through dashboards and reports to Executive Management.

AI Adoption and Engagement

  • Own and deliver programs to drive safe, scalable, high impact AI adoption including:
  • business unit-specific training courses to build AI capability.
  • AI sharing sessions to inspire and inform staff, and to promote cross-pollination of ideas.
  • gamification and recognition programs to reward innovative AI applications.
  • Lunch & Learn sessions to encourage informal peer-led learning.
  • hackathons to solve real business problems collaboratively.
  • Centres of Excellence to guide targeted AI strategies.
  • Foster and cultivate AI literacy across the business, including designing and implementing fit-for-purpose change management programs

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Articulate value, risks and change impacts.
  • Foster strong relationships across the business to promote collaboration and engagement.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in strategy through roles in management consulting.
  • Experience innovating, developing new business models and/or leading technology-led business transformations.
