We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Ads TPM team within the Tech PMO (Technical Program Management Office), supporting the Ads Product & Engineering organization. As a Senior Manager of TPMs, you will lead your team in driving cross-functional initiatives that span multiple technical teams. You will focus on developing careers, setting guidelines, sharing best practices, and providing hands-on coaching for your reports to build a high-performing team of TPMs.

At Reddit, Technical Program Managers use technical judgment to define and drive large programs across multiple engineering teams. They are a welcome partner to engineering leaders in project discussions impacting planning and execution. They engage with engineering staff in determining root causes, identifying and selecting alternative solutions, and using their technical expertise to understand the effects, impacts, and risks of a solution. Above and beyond program-level impact, they build execution processes and reduce inefficiencies to build overall scale.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage a team of geographically dispersed Ads Technical Program Managers in the Tech PMO. Hire, develop, mentor, and coach them to build a high-performing team that scales and evolves with Reddit's rapid growth plans.
- Proactively identify resourcing needs, working closely with Ads leadership to maintain full visibility of all projects in-flight and ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.
- Lead operational excellence and continuous process improvement workstreams in partnership with Leadership in the Ads organization.
- Using technical monetization expertise, directly contribute to the strategy and roadmap of the teams you support. Ensure prioritization within your own team aligns with the wider company vision.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and coordination areas, to deliver features and programs with a high level of quality.
- Be a key driver of engineering process improvement in areas such as execution, progress tracking, and cross-functional communication.
What We Can Expect From You:
- 12+ years of software industry experience, leading large-scale technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery, utilizing analytical skills to understand user needs, gather requirements, and define project scope.
- 7+ years of people management experience, preferably with a geographically distributed team, that lead the delivery of technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
- 5+ years of collective experience in digital ads platforms and monetization programs.
- Experience in finding and growing talent through coaching, mentoring, and career development conversations.
- Experience operating autonomously and leading across multiple teams, with senior stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones.
- Negotiation skills in combination with effective communication experience, i.e. can translate high-level goals into tangible action plans, and vice-versa.
- Experience communicating and representing work to senior leadership and framing discussions to gain valuable feedback and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
- Experience establishing and leading teams through multi-disciplinary relationships, including product management and engineering to drive product impact.
- Analytical problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.

This job posting may span more than one career level.
In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$223,600—$290,650 USD
