WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Build a well set-up accounting operations organisation for the insurance company
- Deliver high-quality and timely monthly/ quarterly/ annual financial statements as well as reliable and accurate daily finance operations
- Closely work with the group accounting function and the central accounting operations team
- Conceptualize, implement and improve operational processes with high attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Report directly to senior management and shape the strategy of the company
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 7 years experience, including some in a team-leading accounting role with direct responsibility for monthly closings and other operational accounting activities
- Self-driven personality with a “hands-on” approach and high attention to detail - you are able to quickly understand new challenges and structure processes to help your team tackle them efficiently
- Proficient knowledge of general accounting and IFRS accounting rules - if someone from your team comes to you with a difficult technical question, you will be able to efficiently guide them into the right direction
- You are a strong communicator and vocal about your plans as well as the results of your team. If blockers arise, you will address them directly and make sure your team is getting all the support it needs
- Experience in financial services/ banking sectors or a fintech startup. Experience in Insurance is a plus.

Skills Required
- At least 7 years of accounting experience
- Experience leading an accounting team with direct responsibility for monthly closings and operational accounting activities
- Strong knowledge of general accounting and IFRS accounting rules
- Strong communication skills and ability to address blockers and support the team
- Experience in financial services, banking, or a fintech startup
- Insurance experience
- Self-driven, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and process-structuring ability
