Team Overview 

Pacific’s Logistics Operations Team delivers tailored supply chain services to all Nike internal and external customers. Our vision is to provide consistent, sustainable, and innovative solutions, activating the Nike brand within the marketplace through succinct and effective distribution of our products. The Logistics team is the backbone of Nike Pacific’s supply chain, ensuring seamless flow of goods through our omnichannel distribution network. This team collaborates across planning, operations, inventory, and transport to meet service goals and elevate customer experience. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The team collaborates internally with Logistics Planning, DC Operations, Inventory, Integrated Fulfilment Planning, Transport, Commercial, Tech, and Marketplace teams. Externally, they partner with Third Party Logistics (3PLs) partners and transport across Australia and New Zealand. You will work hand in hand with our 3PL partner and their teams, fostering a "One Team" culture. You will also have touchpoints with Nike’s geography partners, supporting solution management, reporting, and best practice sharing. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Planning with a strong understanding of the retail distribution landscape within Australia, a people-first mindset, and a passion for coaching and mentoring. The ideal candidate is a change advocate, a pragmatic problem solver, and a strategic thinker who supports and drives growth in logistics operations. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving efficiency and accuracy across logistics processes, and championing diversity and inclusion. Experience in international container operations is highly regarded and considered an advantage for this role.

In this elevated role, you will be empowered to initiate, champion, and deliver solutions that raise the bar for logistics performance at Nike Pacific, ensuring that every opportunity is maximized from ideation to execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics subject exposure preferred.

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in logistics & operations management, performance & costing.

  • Working knowledge of 3PL distribution within Australia and New Zealand, with an ability to work across a matrix environment.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. 

  • Proficiency in SAP, WMS, TMS, advanced Microsoft Office.  

  • Strong analytical skills including cost modelling, performance management, and financial review.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Planning Senior Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in Nike Pacific’s logistics strategy, serving not only as an operational expert but also as a catalyst for transformation and innovation. You will be entrusted with full ownership of complex issues and opportunities, guiding initiatives from initial ideation through to successful implementation. This includes proactively identifying areas for improvement, developing strategic solutions, and executing projects that deliver measurable impact across the supply chain.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day Logistics Operations across Planning, Distribution Centres and Transportation.

  • Lead & inspire to deliver the Pacific Logistics Purpose, growing revenue through precision delivery of Nike product to fulfill marketplace demand when, where and how it actualizes.

  • Manage & influence multiple Logistics Partner Operational relationships to drive process excellence and continuous improvements to enhance the consumer experience, service, convenience, cost and sustainability.

  • Own and deliver Logistics Performance results within clearly defined Nike Operational and Marketplace KPI’s in partnership with our Logistics partners.

  • Partner with Nike global networks to ensure alignment and best in class processes

  • Lead, Coach, Drive, and Inspire.

  • Build Logistics operational knowledge and experience, ensuring service excellence and end to end efficiencies (including Returns).

  • Drive high engagement, provide opportunities for growth and visibility, and develop customer and consumer centric mindsets.

  • Responsible for logistics’ input into cross-functional, Geographies (GEO) and Global forums such as Integrated Fulfillment Planning, Marketplace Supply Chain, Finance, Inventory Ops and Global Supply Chain Operations forums.

  • Accountable for and ensuring the knowledge and application of company policies & procedures across logistics ensuring compliance. Drive internal & external audits of these controls.

  • Manage Inbound, Distribution Center and Outbound capacity plans together with our Logistics partners to ensure Nike’s short, mid, and long-range targets are met through scale and efficiency.

  • Responsible for the partnership mindset, investment, and development of the relationship with Nike Logistics partners.

  • Leverage data & insights to drive continuous improvements and inform decision prioritization and trade-offs across the logistics operations.

  • Identify and recommend strategic initiatives internally and with Logistics Partners to co-develop Pacifica Logistics and Supply Chain Strategies.
