Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Linux/Unix Administrator with French to join the Sopra Steria Polska team and contribute to a project for a leading French telecommunications company. Note that we can offer cooperation only to people who are located in Poland.
Your responsibilities
- Performing 2nd/3rd level support to all customers infrastructure and develop solutions to stabilize and refresh customer environment
- Modifying operating system configuration and maintaining server services
- Dealing with the request, changes and troubleshooting on customer infrastructure and provide and support systems management in an environment requiring high availability
- Using scripting or other programming languages to automate processes and maintain the application environment
- Generating and maintain documentation
- Implementing technical projects
Must have requirements:
- Very good Linux/Unix skills (AIX, Solaris, Red Hat) server administration knowledge (including remote OS installation, updates/upgrades, configuration, patching, utilities, scripting, networking, multipathing, monitoring/system logs, user management, diagnosing software & hardware issues)
- Knowledge of hardware and software servers (esp. CISCO)
- Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
- Must have a proactive customer focused attitude to providing an IT service
- Very good knowledge of French (min B2 level)
