As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure across all operational areas of the firm. You will be a senior member of the Systems team, which is flexible in supporting a growing, dynamic team of software, research, and systems engineers. This role is a means to make a difference: you will maintain the backbone of a rapidly growing technology enterprise.

Responsibilities
- Build out automated, highly available, and scalable infrastructure
- Help define and refine our growing network and storage infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain storage nodes and monitoring
- Participate in an occasional on-call rotation
Requirements
- At least five years of professional Linux experience with increasing responsibility and scope of work
- Experience with enterprise switches (Juniper preferred)
- Experience with network protocols such as DNS, NTP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, LAG, IPSec
- Experience with high-performance storage infrastructure, such as high availability SAN, NAS, and local SSD RAIDs (with emphasis on open-source technologies)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, Checkmk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Understanding of network and OS security
- Exposure to virtualization and containerization (KVM, ESXI, Docker, Podman, LXC)
- Experience with high-speed (at least 10Gb) host networking
- Demonstrated scripting abilities (Bash and/or Python preferred)
- Eagerness to work with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BSD-based firewalls
- Experience with general configuration automation, CI/CD, and deployment tools
- Proficiency with Ansible
- Experience with OpenStack
- Experience with cluster management frameworks (OpenShift, LVS), centralized authorization and domain management (LDAP / AD / IPA), and RHEL
- Experience with Distributed File Systems, troubleshooting file systems
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $170,000 to $205,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation, such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
