Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Senior-Level Test Engineer to support operational test events and campaigns for space command and control systems in support of Delta 12, Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), United States Space Force (USSF). The candidate will be part of a team analyzing the performance of space systems and operational architectures. Testing will be on operational, fielded systems and in laboratories with operationally representative hardware and software. Testing will be across the entire space enterprise to include ground, on-orbit, link and command and control/battle management system.
The candidate will support a test team to develop operational test products for test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting. Other activities may include establishing requirements for evaluation tools and processes, coordinating test support resources and designing scenarios to maximize operational realism in test venues.
As a Senior-Level Test Engineer your job duties will include:
- Lead and assist in development of Test and Evaluation products including but not limited to the following: Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Test Campaign Plans, Test Event Plans, Test Reports and other products associated with Operational Test
- Design, execute and report test events or test campaigns for operational effectiveness, survivability and suitability
- Work within a small test team comprising of test engineers, operations research analyst/s, tool developer/s and technical writer/s
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- B.S. Degree in engineering or related scientific field with 8+ years’ experience in a technical field related to space and/or missile defense systems.
- OR Masters' degree in a technical/engineering discipline with at least 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity
- Active Top Secret clearance is required to start with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience of operational command and control system/s.
- Familiarity with DoDI 5000.02 Operation of Defense Acquisition System, and OSD Test and Evaluation Policies and Guidance.
- Experience in the products and processes for operational test
- Experience with headquarters staff coordination
- Knowledge of space sensors, ground equipment and on-orbit satellites
- Ability to manage complex test events, work effectively with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work as part of a team comprising of test engineers, operations research analyst/s, tool developer/s and technical writer/s, conducting test planning, test execution, technical projects, or problem resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data collection and management plans using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology
- Test engineer experience on an Acquisition Category (ACAT) 1 program
- Operational Test experience with any of the following: Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center (AFOTEC); Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC); Navy Operational Test & Evaluation (NOT&E); Marine Operational Test & Evaluation (MOT&E); Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM); and/or Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E)
- Experience with Space Domain Awareness and the study, monitoring and managing of Earths orbital objects

Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000
