Impact You’ll Have: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Analyst to join our highly engaged Legal and Compliance department. This is a non-attorney role designed for a professional with a strong background in legal support, particularly in HR/employment matters, litigation support, and commercial transactions. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience, including time spent in an in-house legal department of a professional services firm and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Certified paralegals are encouraged to apply, but not a pre-requisite.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with Human Resources to provide legal support related to employment matters, including benefits, immigration, restrictive covenants, policy review, document drafting, training, and compliance with employment laws
- Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local legislation applicable to U.S. employers, analyze potential impacts to the business, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance. Assist in the communication of updates, and development of compliance plans and training initiatives
- Use independent judgment and discretion to support litigation and pre-litigation matters, including investigation of claims, claim reporting, management of legal hold processes, detailed data / document collection, organization and management of discovery, and subpoena responses
- Assist with negotiation, drafting and review of certain commercial contracts and related documentation (e.g., non-reliance letters, RFP responses, collections)
- Provide support for the execution of internal training programs, including the development of materials and presentations related to employment law, compliance, and other legal topics.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, take ownership of programs, and demonstrate independence needed for effective and timely project completion
- Take ownership of assigned department programs and projects, preparing legal resource materials and presentations
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Legal and Compliance department
What You’ll Bring:
- Must have high degree of accountability, the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, change priorities as required, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of legal terminology, principles and practices
- Strong client service orientation and solutions driven approach
- Must be able to quickly process and analyze information and be able to use it to make decisions and solve problems
- Broad understanding of business operations
- At least intermediate skill-level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must have strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Must be well organized with a strong attention to details
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Must be team oriented with the ability to build positive relationships
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal degree or certification or related combination of education and experience is a plus, but not required
- 4-8 years of experience in corporate legal department or law firm environment
- Past work experience in a professional services organization is a plus

Salary Range
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,000 - $120,000 annually. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan. Available benefits are based on eligibility. Our Total Rewards package includes a variety of options, including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and access to other wellness-focused benefits. Depending on employment category, Stout offers Personal Time Off per calendar year based on standard work hours and years of service or Discretionary Time Off.
