The Opportunity

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technology Engineer to join our team in a professional hybrid office environment. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities across telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems. Working with limited instruction from a project lead, you will bridge the gap between initial concepts and final deliverables, ensuring that innovative technology solutions are seamlessly incorporated into the overall system design while meeting rigorous client and industry standards.

What You'll Do

  • Work within a team environment to ensure clients standards are met and technology systems are incorporated into the overall system design
  • Project team leadership and discipline management, responsible for completing the project on time and within budget
  • Responsible for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
  • Independently evaluate and apply design judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
  • Extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure and ability to lead the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology system
  • Assemble effective project teams  
  • Develop project workplans, tasks and assignments for the team
  • Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination 
  • Advanced understanding of the application of building codes and technology industry standards
  • Oversee calculations and equipment selection
  • Prepare and review opinions of probable construction costs
  • Perform site visits and issues reports
  • Provide training, guidance and mentorship for staff
  • Provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
  • Develop client relationships 
  • Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree for discipline work or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant professional credential (i.e. PE, CTS, RCDD, PSP) 
  • Requires a minimum of 2-4 years Technology Engineer 3, or 5-10 years’ related work experience
  • Inspire and motivate staff
  • Serve as a technical resource for the company
  • Advanced understanding of technology design concepts and ability to effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables
  • Strong delegation skills
  • Proactive and effective communicator 
  • Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
  • Knowledge and application of NEC and relevant building and energy codes
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Revit/AutoCAD

What We Offer 

  • Hiring Base Salary Range: $122,400-$140,200 annual 
    • This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
