The Role
As a Software Engineering - Developer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.
Key Responsibilities:-
- ·Develop and support Azure Function Apps using Python scripts.
- Manage logs and alerts for backup operations using Azure Monitor and other monitoring tools, utilizing Azure KQL queries.
- Analyze current Python code issues and recommend service improvements.
- Deploy Python-based Azure Apps via Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with customers to understand new business logic requirements and update/amend existing Python code.
- Manage SQL database operations related to the applications.
Good working knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS components including:
- Azure Application Gateway (WAF, routing, listener configuration)
- Azure API Management (API gateway, policies, subscriptions)
- Azure App Services (Web Apps deployment, scaling, monitoring)
- Azure AD App Registrations (OAuth2, service principals)
- Azure Service Bus (queues, topics, message processing)
- Azure Storage Accounts (Blob, File, Queue services)
- Azure Functions (Serverless compute, triggers, bindings)
- Azure DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines): Experience in building and maintaining Azure DevOps release pipelines, YAML pipelines, artifact management, and automated deployments for Python-based applications and Azure services.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
Minimum 6yrs+ experienced in developing and deploying Python applications on Azure Cloud using both Visual Studio Code and CLI-based workflows, including management of virtual environments and dependency packages.
Azure SDK for Python: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Azure SDKs for Python to interact with Azure resources such as Storage, Key Vault, Service Bus, App Configuration, and more.
API Development & Exposure on Azure: Skilled in building and exposing RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and deploying them on Azure services such as Azure App Services and Azure Functions, integrated with Azure AD App Registrations for secure authentication.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Soft skills: Strong communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl
Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
