Job Description
This position will be based in the Victoria area.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) Neuroscience is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products, and the development and management of business relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographical territory.
The KAM is an integral part of the commercial team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The KAM will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ sales and marketing strategies and marketing tactics to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
This position is within the Neuroscience Business Unit and reports directly to the Business Unit Director.
Deliver sales and related objectives against territory targets and contribute to national and team targets.
Develop a good working relationship with KOLs and stakeholders by being an expert in the Jazz Pharmaceuticals Neuroscience products and relevant disease areas as well as healthcare policy as appropriate platforms Collaborate with external and internal networks/stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions to increase customer value.
Build customer networks within the healthcare eco-system that enable the rapid identification, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Identify and remove local prescribing barriers by helping priority accounts with solutions to local service limitations.
Develop, implement and review a cross-functional key account business plans for the territory that is aligned to the strategic brand plan and endorsed by the management team.
Monitor and evaluate performance against business plan and deliver within agreed matrix of activity (effective account call coverage and frequency) and budget (appropriate use of promotional spend) as agreed with the management team.
Work with medical, market access and marketing to enable customer access to Jazz Pharmaceuticals support programs e.g., educational events, relevant symposia, peer to peer programs.
Identify and capture opportunities for business growth e.g., key account potential, new projects or added value services.
Profile (and regular updating of) key customers and accounts into currently available CRM system.
Accurate and timely reporting of customer and business records, through CRM system, using agreed performance measures.
Willingness and ability to assist with ad hoc business projects, if required.
Behave ethically, responsibly, and professionally in accordance with Jazz Pharmaceuticals values and Australian Medicines Code of Conduct.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience in a specialty care or rare disease business unit.
Advanced technical selling skills with a strong understanding of clinical data, along with a high level of proficiency in communicating technical and clinical information.
Effective and persuasive communicator with strong presentation skills.
Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability who wants to be an integral part of a high performing team.
Account management skills that demonstrate business acumen and an innovative approach to projects and solutions.
Experience working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
Proficient IT skills in all business-related packages such as MS. Office, Veeva
Proficient in English.
Valid Australian driver’s license.
Preferred
Specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in an aligned therapeutic area (Epilepsy Neuroscience, Psychiatry).
Effective and persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills with demonstrable ability to engage with customers using multi-channel approaches and platforms.
Experience working with appropriate partners on joint projects that deliver benefits to all stakeholders.
Experience in the utilization of CRM tools.
